Even though most of their fans would have taken 7th place in a heartbeat at the start of the season, it will be a massive letdown now. To go from dreaming of Champions League to ending up in the Checkatrade Trophy of European football has cheered me up!

Surely wanting them to fail is a natural feeling for any self respecting Magpie. I actually coo when they are beaten. It's not a deliberate act, it just evokes happiness in me😃

I have them in a car crash double with Spurs. It just means I'm happy more often and looking forwards (with a modest counterbalance of trepidation) to European thrashings next season.
