Your opinion on Maynard is bordering on an obsession & it's not surprising that few agree with it, if you could take your blinkers off for a moment you could see him for what he was. Yes we saw some crap but we also saw some good stuff, he was a novice I wouldn't expect perfection, most would agree he made mistakes but also had some terrible luck & his star players sold without ready replacements, I do agree that it was time to try someone new but really hope that the next guy, who in all probability will be another that we have never heard of, will be given more of a chance than Maynard was by some, even if he's an ex BT engineer, COYP

How much more of a chance did he want ffs.. Our home record since he started as been abysmal. If he had been at any other club he would have been shown the door much earlier... Oh and by the way, I'm not obsessed with him whatsoever. I spend hundreds of pounds every season following Notts, which is more than i can say for most on here, and i expect my team to put a shift in. And that cannot be said since he has been here... If you like watching crap and observing a coach with no idea, then fine, just dont slag me off for telling the truth..

This season Maynard's record with both JJ and DC available this season:
    P9 W5 D2 L2
    Points per game 1.88
    Goals per game 2.22

With a 1.88ppg over a 46 game season you get 86.89 points - ie Champions.
    2.22gpg over a season 102.22 (Notts finished with 68).

I'm aware the above data is absolutely meaningless and the sample size is small. But what it does show is when Maynard had his best attacking players available Notts were winning games, scoring goals and being entertaining.
I thinks it's fair to say he was unlucky with circumstances out of his control (sales/injuries).

It was partly Maynard's fault - his tactics and man management left a lot to be desired. He screamed a Tim Henman-esque "nice guy" vibe, but didn't have the killer instinct. I can't speak for anyone else, but he would certainly struggle to motivate me.

However, a spate of injuries, the asset-stripping of the squad and lack of re-investment, no support staff and a general lack of belief from the player also contributed to last season's damp squib.

In my view, a combination of the above factors led to a perfect storm of failure. Sadly, the bad news has just kept on coming since Christmas. As a fanbase, we need some good news to rally around, because I would expect that the majority feel somewhat glum at the minute.

    Hopefully, that comes soon.

How do you know what his man management was like unless you work with him ?

I know enough people at the club to take an informed view.

    Your opinion not the truth.

My opinion we were crap at home and good away. Far more entertainment away from Meadow Lane, at home it was a grind.

Our away record was superb but you should never accumulate more points away from home than at home in my opinion

Ive been consistent all along regarding Maynard, Unlike most who have been in one minute and out the next, and now apparently to some its not his fault..
