Who were you expecting, Arne Slot? Any manager we want with experience at a higher level will have failed somewhere - it’s the nature of the beast.

Thought people wanted proven?! He has three promotions on his CV including a relatively recent League One title with Wigan.

Any ?proven? manager coming to League Two will also have failures on their CV, as he does in a poor short spell in the Championship with Rotherham, but otherwise it?s a pretty impressive CV. Could certainly see the logic behind it, even if stylistically it feels a jump from what we?ve had before.

I hope the bros don’t fixate on “stylish” football, because the focus needs to be on winning football that also entertains the fans. The quality of football did go backwards under SM, especially at home where so many games felt like testimonials rather than full-blooded league fixtures.

Think SM got bogged down with not conceding. We all know it is quite easy to play attacking possession football if your players are on their toes and looking forward instead of on the back foot looking square or back just to retain the ball.
Obviously need to pick your moment to turn it into attack but how many times have any of us shouted "pass the bloody ball forward!
