The Millers Mad Boards slow again

I've finally noticed what the problem was for me.
When getting onto the site, it's automatically taking me to page 2 of the threads, that's why nothing seemed to be changing.
So over last few days, I have been getting on ok, just without realising it 😆

MagyarMiller, one change, in that you now don't have to keep logging back in to view the next page. Having said that, try replying to a thread when first logging in, it boots you straight back out! but keep on smiling or laughing at it or it will send you bloody crazy

Logging in this morning and I saw the usual Millersmad Dukes page. Hurrah I thought, we're back up and running.......err no not fully yet as I still have to log in if I want to view a second page or reply to a post. It's getting there slowly but surely.

What's the alternative to here?

There are a few options. At nottscountymad most regulars are getting seriously pissed off at how unreliable this board is, so someone set up a new board elsewhere still using the nottscountymad name. It's a lot better, but the problem is persuading people to switch en masse, as many are stuck in their ways after all these years here. The new forum is gaining numbers, but not enough to become the main forum yet. Here's what it looks like:
