Thread: Bass gone

My granny is a great goal keeper I have recommend her to notts. They may has well sign her they will only have to pay her enough to cover the winter fuel payment which she lost last winter. Notts have only signed in my opinion DROSS including the players and manager (this does not include the the assistant manager who seems to be decent sort.).

Very disappointed about this, thought he was great and about time we had a proper keeper you thought might actually save shots.

It's fine buying players and selling them for more, we need to run a tight ship. If we start to stagnate though then the fans aren't going to be happy and it turn will vote with their feet.

I don't have a clue how we'll be next season so I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised ha ha.

I'm sure Radar will know all about your Granny and the club will be in touch accordingly ! One thing on her side is they say Keepers get better with age !!

Yeah, the club have to be aware that we are not attracting or retaining well for the level like we were in the NL, so have to find the balance that keeps some upward momentum.

With the departures, we're well short of being competitive - a big month coming up. Many have left on a fee, so whether that's fees back or wages, we need to see some real quality coming in.

Unless we can get Archie Mair, I'd prefer that to be on outfield players. Our recent rivals Wrexham and Wimbledon benefitted from taking Prem goalkeeping talent on loan. We should try to copy that.

A little disapointed to see Bass depart, it will be a tough job getting a replacement at his standard.
Who's in the sticks for Alfreton?, maybe radar has flagged him up or Roy Carroll will be signing again!.

I see their chairman stated they paid over ?300,000 for him a pretty profit. Source BBC football transfer page.

Apart from saving two penalties what makes you think Mair is the answer, where is he now?

Motherwell in the SPL, on loan from Norwich again

I don't necessarily think that's the answer, but we could do with some feelgood news and we could do worse.

As I posted before I think we should do something like Wrexham did with Okonkwo and Wimbledon with Goodman - get a upcoming young Prem 3rd or 4th choice - Josh Keeley, Tottenham, that Orient had, someone like that

Got a feeling we should keep any transfer or wage funds for Crowley's replacement or a top RCB or RB

I do wonder if we may go down the PL/Champ youngster loan route for GK and then some experience for the third they?d like to bring in.

As for making a singing for a feel good factor, we might as well just give the Number One shirt to a VHS of Charlie Palmers winning goal against Forest.
