Bass out - Jodi injury setback

    On Radio Nottingham.

Can?t catch a break can Jodi, not looking good for him, or us for that matter. Wonder if we will see him fit and firing again this season. Most frustrating.

Anyone know anything about Sam Austin?s injury and return date?

Yeah I've been saying for a couple of weeks now that in all honesty we should forget about Jodi for this season. He's obviously not going to be back anytime soon and when he does get fit it's going to take several games for him to get back to his best. We'll have run out of games by then, and the best we can hope for I think is a cameo appearance in the playoffs if that is where we end up.

You can't help but wonder if, with his past history, this is all getting to his head a bit. There's a danger he might never be back to his best, let's hope he can get through it again.

Just listened to Maynard pre-match. Sam Austin is over the injury but now out for a medical issue (not specified by SM). No date mentioned for return.

Stu on Pies Player said they'll not know until the swelling has gone done and it's scanned on Monday. I'd imagine he'll be a couple of weeks at least.

My sauce informs me that Bass is out for the season, and that a new keeper is being lined up.

I was thinking the same. He was only just starting to look match fit in moments before he was crocked again. Very sad for him and us. Still, he's got form for hitting stunning goals in the sunshine at important games - so Donny better watch out!

I think Bass missing the rest of the season is as bad as Jones. Maybe worse.
