They are adamant Isak is being sold this window aren't they? Doesn't matter to who.
This is more than a signing. This a power struggle. We stand firm to show we are serious. We aren't owned by Ashley anymore.

The bastions of truth and quality Journalism 'Give Me Sport' are reporting that we're now after the Argentinian international Alverez.
At that price it's a no, Argi in little Brazil... absolute none starter.

...Pardew on talkshiite earlier comparing the situation to the Carroll one he faced and that 150m is impossible to refuse.
Yeah Alan, that was Ashley, this is PIF.
Not the same.
One wise thing Pardew did say was that if Isak has another great season his value wont drop significantly next summer with 2 years on his contract left...and I agree.
Even if LiVARpook did offer 150 million, we shouldn't take it. Would be a massive backwards step and we wouldn't be able to replace him with anyone nearly as good And thayt's before you consider the message it would send to the players.
All that being said, I don't think we will...I'm just concerned that this is going to get into Isak's head.
Isak was upset by Mitchell. He didn't want to give Alex an improved contract despite he was being promised an improved deal by Amanda.
So, Alex's seems to be a man of his word. It strikes me as the sort.
The word was that the new contract conversation was slated for now, after the Celtic match.
Let's see what happens.
I have always defended the PIF position having worked in the region and under the culture of business somewhat.
However, they really need to get in the game and help the recruitment team get the deals over the line required.
First things first, Alex's new contract.
