    Hey uncle Whitey lol.
Yeah that's always been the case hasn't it, we as footy fans really do need patience, and a lot of it!!. 😁
How many times do we get excited about a possible signing ehh at this time of year.
Only to be denied for whatever reason, at the last minute.
Yeah I wish we could switch off, and just not take it so seriously. 😦

Btw, I'm guessing that we haven't heard the last yet, of the rumours about Luca to Wycombe.
Its been suggested that we want a lot more than what they are willing to pay, and thats no surprise of course.
And hey, do they still do transfer tribunals these days ?. 😧

    Hi Acido,

I cannot access this site main page - I am only able to go to a link which is the latest topic reply but then when I try and get into the full Tykes Mad forum I get a grey and white screen just saying Invalid Forum specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator.
I then press the admin tab but just says no access allowed so am as they say snookered!

Any ideas, please but not sure if I will be able to see your reply!

Also even though I had some messages in my private mail box all gone and just says no messages which as Roma would say is Ballax!

    Caylum Vickers signs for Reds

    https://x.com/barnsleyfc/status/1947...746434637?s=57

Barnsley Football Club are pleased to confirm the signing of Caylan Vickers on a season-long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, subject to EFL approval.
The 20-year-old winger joins the Reds following a productive spell at Mansfield Town, where he registered 2 goals and 3 assists in 19 appearances in League One during the second half of the 2024/25 campaign.
Having come through the academy ranks at Reading FC, Vickers made his professional debut at the start of the 2023/24 season, quickly establishing himself with a string of mature performances and memorable goals, including strikes against Bolton Wanderers and in a record-breaking 9–0 win over Exeter City.
In early 2024, he made the move to Premier League outfit Brighton, where he continued to impress for their U21 side, netting 7 goals and contributing 4 assists before heading out on loan.
Vickers is widely admired for his dribbling, low centre of gravity, and attacking intent, with comparisons drawn to several top young talents in the

Mladen Sormaz, Sporting Director, “We’re really pleased to bring Caylan to Barnsley. He’s shown great promise at both youth and senior level in League One. Caylan’s profile aligns closely with our strategy of bringing in players with the necessary attributes to implement Conor’s style of play. This move benefits all parties, and we’re confident Caylan will have a real impact at Oakwell.”
Head Coach Conor Hourihane added, “Caylan is a player I’ve admired for some time. He’s direct, intelligent, on the ball, and brings a real spark in the final third. We’re looking to add youthful energy and creativity to our attack this season, and Caylan fits that profile perfectly. I’m looking forward to working with him and helping him take the next step in his development.”
Caylan Vickers said, “It’s really good to finally be here. Speaking to the Head Coach, he persuaded me with the way he wants to play and the way he wants to improve me.
“That was a big factor in me coming here and the size of the Club as well. I want to come here and play."
    Welcome to Oakwell, Caylan.

Good question that Acido, I haven’t heard of a transfer tribunal for yonks so they probably are defunct? Still rumours about both Luca and Keillor-Dunn and I suspect both sides are waiting for the other to blink first but as we move closer to the end of the window I expect deals to be done. We’re in a similar spot with speculation around a few incomings, especially now that Thomason’s gone to Disney but again I suspect it’ll be nearer the end of the window before anything happens so patience still needed. If I were Barnsley though with serious hopes of promotion I wouldn’t sell either unless it was a stellar offer because how do you replace them?

    Gloucester Live reporting.

Cheltenham Town have rejected a bid from Barnsley for winger Jordan Thomas.
The offer is thought to have been a long way short of the ?250,000 buy-out clause in the 24-year-old's contract.

Thomas was one of the Robins' top performers during the 2024/25 campaign, which was his first full season as a professional.
