I've got no problem with players not wanting to come here-bigger clubs, the lure of London, more money...all perfectly valid reasons, much as we may not like them.

I don't even mind us going for these players in case we can sway them (like KK did with Rob Lee). What doewn't seem to0 clever is our slow and eggs-in-one-basket approach. I know it's important to get the right player but there's got to be more than one 'right player' and neither is that the only factor at play. Getting players in to blend with the squad or picking someone who actually wants to come are canny important, too.

Our approach seems to be like a bloke in a club who is set on chatting up one lass in particular even when it's clear she's not interested and meanwhile there are a few other girls who he could go for. He keeps on chatting and buying her drinks while the other girls either lose interest or get with someone else.

Please note, this scenario can be changed to suit any gender combination or sexual orientation or preference. No animals, though, please.

    😁

We've all been there in the club.

Problem is the one we want who has no interest gives just enough vibes to keep us trying because they love the attention.

We maybe need to pull the fat chic who does the job, puts in the effort and gives good head

    Sorry....that lowered the tone.

    But you get it.

Sounds like a Saturday neet on the Big Market Strat Sclox! A noble move by the wing man to taking one for the team, the big lass needs attention. haha

Pulling out of the Ekitike deal after the first bid indicates that the club are learning that they need to move on more rapidly.

This time 2 seasons ago we only had Tonali signed and went on to sign a 4 more player before the window closed.

At this point the Cartel clubs have done their business. We'll go into negotiations competing with clubs where we are bigger club.

I have no doubt we will do the same this time this window and get things done. I Just wish they'd get on with it.

I would take it as quite the opposite.

more 'Oh sh!t... we really do have our work cut out.' Than, let's enjoy the friendly at the Famous old Green and White.

They have known we have a lot of work that needs to be done on transfers, for a couple of seasons.

Noticed the press saying Man City "Hijacked" our move for Trafford. They did not Hijack anything. They just offered what he is worth.

So the story goes, City are readying a huge bid for Diogo Costa at Porto. So Trafford is having 2nd thoughts.

Ortega is supposed to be going to Burnley in exchange, guess he'll be the No.1 at Burnley if Trafford does go to City, however, Costa is only 25 so Trafford, at 22, could well be on the bench for 8 yrs at City.

Whilst it's probable that Trafford will go back to City, there is still a chance he could still end up at Newcastle. However, we really need to line up the alternative.

Trafford does need to think very carefully about going to City if they are about to sign Costa

It's all conjecture but the noises in Portugal is that Vianna has spoke to Porto about the keeper. Costa is far more City's style.
