I have to admit, BT, that it gets more difficult to keep up with the changes on a daily basis. I also admit that I am getting more and more disillusioned with the way they are messing about with the game and its Laws.

Lucy Bronze was cautioned last night circumstances which were ridiculous as far as I was concerned.
SHe and an opponent challenged for the ball and Lucy won it fair and square, however, her opponent fell over Lucy on the ground and the referee awarded a free kick and cautioned our player. The tackle was fair, not reckless or dangerous and the contact between the players was something which happens in all football at whatever level.
She also penalised Agyemang late on in the game for a challenge which she won fair and square without committing any offence ----her opponent fell over though which the Spaniards seemed to think warranted a foul every time!

If you want to try to guess just where the game is going all you have to do is to go and watch Academy games at any age over 12 and you will be amazed at some of the decisions given for the slightest contact. It ain't good!

I thought the Spanish lasses playacting was disgraceful Supersub6. Stanway got smacked twice early doors and nothing was given but then again she did not roll around like an IDF sniper had shot her.

THey are always the same, however, I was surprised that not one of them was booked because they committed similar fouls. C'est la vie.

I know we witnessed the disappointment of the Lionesses in Australia when they were beaten by Spain in the World Cup Final. The Spanish ladies and manager did not look so much disappointed after their Euro defeat as positively bitter. Spain were imo the best footballing team in the tournament but they were not great. Great teams have a great attitude and again imo they fell short of that.

The press weren't happy with the winning penalty either, when after she scored she then diverted her celebration run to go in front of the spanish goalie and eyeball he. CARAMBA 😁

Supersub6 you are in the know in such matters. Why where the British Royalty flying Union Jacks on the Mall yesterday and not exclusively the English flag? I'm surprised their German flag did not get an airing.

More tham likely because this is the normal thing for a National Occasion ---the lasses winning the Euros, but it also reflects on the wider aspect that England is part of the UK and, as much as you don't like it, the Crown rules over all of the United Kingdom and they mark the occasion accordingly.

England won the Ladies Euros not Great Britain, it was not an Olympic sporting win.
