Apparently deal agreed between the two clubs and Gueye is set to travel to Turkey tomorrow to complete the formalities.
Wonder if he can talk them into taking Ambrose as well 🤣

    Joking aside,
Surely we have some forward (at least one) lined up to sign on soon.
Hope its nae just the Serb dude from AC milan as his scoring record is worse than Ambrose ffs

But hey in Jimmy we trust

Rumours have been going around that Morris is wanting to go back to England as well so we need quite a few attackers in if both of them are going.

I read somewhere that we are after some Dutch winger who would possibly break our transfer record but are struggling to get a deal done.

Take the money and run for both Pape and Morris.

I think that is hard on both players. We need to tool up before we let those two players go. Guèye on his game has something totally different from the rest. Morris was our best player last season and his speed causes havoc for opponents.
We should always be looking to improve the squad though. On the evidence I seen last Friday we haven’t reached that target from last season. We are far from it at the moment.

Im not that bothered about Pape leaving but I think Morris is a useful player to have coming off the bench.

Either way if they both go then they will need replaced on top of what we already needed.

I would say we need 2 wingers and 3 strikers if the both of them get sold.

Morris to me is a guy who has electrifying pace and ability to now and then beat a man but nothing else. An impact player off the bench, A luxury we can't afford to carry. He can't head, pass, tackle or track back. His pace and threat is almost always nullified when teams suss him out and put 2 players on him. Pape for me changed the cup final when he came on. I thought he was excellent. He has no idea what he is doing so nobody else does either. I think his strength is his main attribute but if we can get more than we paid for him i'd bite your hand off. Put the combined sales of those 2 together and get a decent striker signed up.

To me it doesn't matter if they are out the door before hearts and no replacements are in.

I think thats a tad harsh on Morris, he got 13 assists for us last season so he definitely has his uses.

I keep reading about people saying that he doesnt track back and help out his full back, well from what I have seen of Keskinen so far he isnt particularly great at that either.

If he goes then good luck to him but the problem then is we will only have 2 wingers in the squad, so realistically we will probably have to get in at least 2 more considering wingers are a huge part of how Thelin wants us to play.

We probably need more than that considering the amount of games we will be playing this season and the inevitable injuries that will occur though out the season.

I dont mind Morris at all but have said for a long time I just dont think he is a 90 minute player.
Impact sub and by his assists etc last season a very good impact sub.
Every team needs impact subs and especially pace coming off the bench with 20 odd mins to go. That is where Morris is effective.
If he does go then we are going to struggle to find anyone to replace him as an impact sub.
But if he goes I can't be p1ssed off at the lad as all players want as much game time as possible.
Unfortunately i dont think Morris has regular 90 minutes of pace and quality in him and will soon be struggling for any game time at all

But hey good luck min whatever you decide.

I was told Pape was wanting a move, so makes sense to cash in on him.
Morris I have also been told is hoping for a move south, so will have to see what comes of that, if anything.

Both played a huge part on winning us the cup, so whatever happens they will always have a place in the Pittodrie history books.

Think back one year and nobody would have gave a sh*t if they had went.

Best wishes to them both if they go and a chance for new players to make a name for themselves.

He was in the Grosvenor Casino one Saturday night when he was injured bragging about how good he was and he would end up in the EPL. Blah blah.
