Squad numbers have been released and all it has done for me has brought into focus how woefully short we are, a lot of injured players and inexperienced kids a tough season ahead unless we can get 3 or 4 more in soon.

I hope you are right but I don’t have a good feeling about the squad even by Crewe standards it is paper thin, we don’t have a decent keeper, we are short in the FB and CB areas, we are short in midfield and we are an attacking player short add to that 5 of the players already injured and proven sick notes waiting in the wings to join them far too many unproven kids in the squad who I would say 4 or 5 need to be loaned out, the horror show of last season still in the minds of some of the players and the management team I fear we are in for a relegation fight we might have 4 numbers still not filled but add Bogle who won’t play add Shilow won’t play add Tabiner who won’t play that is 7 gaps that will only be filled by kids we are in trouble unless we bring in some more players and I just don’t think there is the money available.

Right, I see what you're saying and understand where you are coming from.

7 gaps is more realistic of the situation we are in, and doesn't look good on paper.
