Nobody seems to have told the Israeli government that they will stop if the hostages are released:

[QUOTE=Grist_To_The_Mill;40735960]A couple of years ago 90% of our population would struggle to point out where Palestine is on the map
Ditto Ukraine and how to pronounce their capital Keeeev
Palestine is the latest trendy conflict thats increasingly made out to be the kid picked on by the local playground bully. It isnt, it is yet another fledgling Islamic state that we will all regret allowing to develop.
Another Iran, Iraq or Libya in the making[/QUOTE
This reply has to be a wind up, Palestine is not a fledgling state it has been around a very long time. Murdering women and children is not humane and their religion is not a reason to justify such action. We committed some of the worst war crimes in human history in Iraq slaughtering over 1 million people, for what? There were no WMD and no connection to 9/11 it was done purely for oil and control of the region. If you think such behaviour by the greater west is acceptable, then you are not the type of person I would ever want to meet. Perhaps when you and yours are treated this way you might have an alternative view, I would also suggest doing some serious research into these regions and wars rather than listening to the BBC and reading the Sun or Mirror, you might learn something.
350 far left extremists arrested today in London for supporting banned terrorist group Palestine Action .
These hate fuelled demonstrations have no place on our streets and supporting terrorism can carry a custodial sentence of up to 14 years .
I expect to see custodial sentences carried out and our streets removed of division and hate fueled by the far left press and it's actors on social media .
The far left and Nazi style antisemitic views have no place in our society .
With far left meaning basically authoritarian communism, what press are you speaking about that support that..?
That particular protest was about criticising the process of designating an organisation that has spray painted some planes as terrorist.
There were many others at a separate protest saying that too many civilians have died and that those people should have the same rights as the others under the jurisdiction of the controlling power of that land.
Maybe you should visit the next march yourself - not the one supporting PA but the general peace marches that have been happening regularly - and see for yourself whether you think they are hate filled, and speak to some of the people who go to them and have a discussion to find some common ground? That would be a better way of addressing division than a frothy post on a message board.
I deliberately upped the ante just to turn the tables on how news can be framed , apparently when parents are concerned for the safety of their children and take to the streets they are framed as far right as we've seen these last few weeks .
However Palestine Action didn't just spray a few planes as you put it , they broke in to a military Base and caused 7 million pounds worth of damage and that is an act of terrorism , you can water it down all you want but it is an act of terrorism which is why Palestine Action is now deemed a terrorist group , own it why don't you .
You might also want to consider who it is who controls the Palestinian people and how that came to be , who was it that put them in power ?
I'd give some thought on what the end game actually is for the Palestinians , the complete annihilation of Israel and how that will play out .
The mind boggling thing about all this Palestinian support is that it's fanbase seems to have completely forgotten about the events of October 8th 2023 and the attacks on innocent Israeli citizens by Hamas and Hezbollah .
It seems to me that supporting terrorism and executing innocent Israeli citizens is the new moral crusade of the left and that the complete annihilation of Israel and it's people sits perfectly fine amongst a certain demographic , peace loving and morally righteous apparently !!!! .
However consider this if you will , whilst the creation of Israel in 1948 may well be a contentious issue and I don't think too many people would disagree with that it still has the right to defend itself in a manner it deems fit .
The country is surrounding by enemies who wish to see it annihilated , they've all tried at some stage to do just that but were all defeated .
Israel only has to lose the once and the country and it's citizens will die so in that kind of environment in order to survive is it any wonder the Israelis are as brutal as it is in order for it to remain in existence ?
What possible compromises do you think are in play when dealing with enemies such as the ones Israel has to contend with ?
