All gone quiet! Clearly nobody in the required positions wants to come to Crewe!
Still Matus will be back soon, followed not long after by JL. At least that will present more availability.

Now resigned and gone out on loan to Kilmarnock, joining Tom Lowery!

We now know the loanee they hoped for by Saturday had the plug pulled by his club, there was a possible other signing - still in play....?
Jay Mingi looks a promising signing at right/ centre back. Didn?t play a lot last season but I think Stockport signed him when in league one so must have showed potential if perhaps not delivering on that last season.
So is he back-up or is Billington being 'rotated' again. Will Mingi play tomorrow night? Hope he doesn't live down to his name.
I hope signed for his versatility, I would like Billington to stay in. I think a cert to get minutes tomorrow.
...and Dion Rankine, winger, on a permanent deal. Someone discussed about a month ago that I think many of us had thought fallen through.
....and Harvey Griffiths, a development loan player ( err, what's one of those?).
Quite! Would have thought most loans of young players to lower level clubs were development ones (as opposed to between big clubs with possible signings later etc, or players who've dropped out of contention at their home clubs but need to be playing). Could it, if used in the context of our team, mean they know he may not get many starts and will be lower down the pecking order, unless we think he is developing? (Unlike certain loan keepers we can all bring to mind.)
Interestingly there has been no follow up interview/report on Griffiths. I think we would like to know more about him. Wouldn't the player like to be considered for some spotlight?
