Has anyone else had trouble logging in / viewing threads? Since latish June until two days ago I could do neither with both my phone and laptop. I'd almost given up trying and then suddenly all is well again. Can anybody shed any light on this?

Possibly needs an update. And probably poorly maintained. Personally experienced having to click on threads to actually obtain access, Similar problems to yours far too often.

I've also had to change the pathway I use to log in. This now means 2 extra taps to gain access. Add to this the authentication and it is a little (but not dramatically) frustrating. However, in this day and age, such inconveniences can be too much for some. ( N.B. That is a general observation about society as a whole and DOES NOT apply to the current participants of this thread.)

This may also be another reason for even lower participation on this site this season.

It may - we now have to verify ourselves every time, I suspect because of Bot problems on some other parts of the site, though not sure what they check, we don't have to do anything to prove we're human! I keep finding I've been logged out too in the last couple of weeks, and have to log in again. There were also several days a week or so ago when the site was unavailable every other time I tried to check in, or seemed to be. Plus posting seems to take an age at the moment after writing a post. This post was an example of it!

If is site had been written or upgraded on wordspeed it would be efficient and easy to maintain.

I also have had trouble getting in this site at times. Days of blank screens until I’m allowed access.

Seems to be easier to log in for me. The site always seemed to kick me out when closing- doesn't seem to now. Yes I am always asked if I'm human, (Waits for sarcastic comments) but I know there have been many sites that are suffering from bot attacks (thousands of bots accessing sites at the same time causing the servers to crash.
