I’m sorry Andy, but - even as moderator - you seem to be the only person on here too lazy to try and cope with the forum’s ridiculous idiosyncrasies and so the above took a little while to decipher.

Your ‘joke’ about the grass. Is that what it was? I doubt anyone laughed and your point is untrue. Swale doesn’t claim anyone who disagrees with him to be a Nazi. He doesn’t do that and if you’re so certain he has then produce the evidence.

That is precisely what Swale has done where Charlie Kirk’s utterances are concerned. He’s produced evidence and that evidence, regardless of context, is alarming, not least because people like you, who claim no political bias, are now defending him. There’s an old saying, ‘never speak ill of the dead’, I don’t necessarily agree with it. If someone said and did bad things when they were alive I’m not suddenly going to change my opinion because they’ve been killed. As it happens I’d never heard of the bloke prior to his murder but from what I’ve heard since I’m quite grateful for that.

As regards the Nazi thing. As I’ve said previously I did think Swale had slightly over egged the comparison but recent events have changed my mind. There are, imo, valid comparisons between the growth of the Right (Naziism) in Germany during the thirties and what is happening in our own country, and elsewhere, today. As someone in their early seventies I’ll admit that scares me from the point of view of my children and grandchildren.

Instead of just indulging in ‘jokes’, slightly pathetic point scoring and misrepresenting both Swale and myself, why don’t you actually turn your thoughts and attention to that rather more serious issue and tell us all, objectively, what you think.

I'm repeating myself from a few recent posts, but I think there's no point trying to argue anything through here because everyone who contributes has closed minds/entrenched views (I'll exclude Sith and the mysterious Ramshank of current active posters) and to varying degrees cherry pick / exaggerate / invent / carelessly misinterpret info to support their POV (there was a sackful last week). I might be guilty of the same, you'll never know for sure but you are welcome to your opinion on it.

Not sure what you’re using, Sith, but on my iPad there’s a thick black line separating each post with the post number on the right eg #4134 and the details of when the post was made on the left.

Yes, you are and perhaps if you sorted the site out and stopped using excuse after excuse to evade a genuine question or make a sensible point there might be more. As it stands I imagine there’ll be less than the five you suggest soon as I for one feel that it’s a complete waste of time at present, but you’ll probably blame that, in your totally unreasoned way, on Swale or myself.

Two essential reasons, imo.
1) The forum has become technically dreadful i.e unreliable and horribly time consuming if one is trying to post in anything approaching legible and literate English.
2) You have become the antithesis of a moderator eg you have improved nothing, are incapable of accepting you may be wrong or have made a mistake, and all too regularly incite unpleasantness while blaming others.

All in all, I have enjoyed the contributions and ‘company’ of MA, Swale (most of the time ) Sith, mac and RS, along with others in days gone by - even RR, but in all other ways it is no longer a pleasant or constructive place to ‘be’.
