I was about to write no harm in a player with self confidence and then a roll call of over confident ex-Dons started playing through my head like a horror film trailer?

Still, better than being fearful I guess.

    Big heid.
He is already playing for THE best club in the world.

It's only downhill for him when he leaves the Dons.

Steven Gunn away at the end of the month.

Took a lot of flack from all angles, mainly from fans who didnt have a clue what he actually did. I still dont really know. Seemed like a good egg though, so all the best min

Someone coming in to replace him or is it more of a restructuring of the club?

Reads like same again rather than a restructuring? Recruiting a replacement already underway.

Taken ridiculous amounts of flack for what seems no more than people being unable to distinguish between his role and others. He became a meme for the moronic element of our support. He’s a Dandy, all the best to him.

I thought he was in with the woodwork (like Simmie) yet here we are. Both moved on under JT’s setup. Maybe reading too much into it but we really are going to be JT’s club through and through now. I assume him and his team will be getting a say here. We’ve gone full circle back to the Daarek days with one man running the whole shebang. When the tits go up they are going to go really up…

He was the director of football. I dont know him personally but the state the football team has been in since he got promoted to director of football would suggest that he wasnt very good at his job.

We have went through about 5 mangers and had a complete overhaul of the squad almost every summer since he became director of football so I think its fair to say that he should be taking some of the blame for that.

Fair or not (we don't know his autonomy...), the ridiculous latching onto him by the cretins and level of vituperation wasn't.

I doubt he had much influence in matters.

By the same token of him taking his share of the sh*t, it's worth giving him a credit for the cup win.

Reading his statement, it reads like he is being pushed out.
    My take on it anyway.

Blame person is Milne - its always Milne.

I genuinely have no idea what this guy did. A director of football not involved in the football side beyond contracts / transfers etc?

    Ive nae idea.

Seemed well thought of though and is a dandy so wish him well.

Would be nice to get an astute fitba man who knows the game and has a real eye for a player in to replace him mind. Too many non fitba people high up in the club IMO.

Oh & kudos for vituperation OBI - excellent word!

Gunn and Burrows have been on social media all summer taking credit for us winning the Scottish Cup ( Burrows more so than Gunn).

Thats fine with me if the club wants to say the Scottish Cup win was a collective achievement from everyone within Aberdeen fc.

But they all need to take responsibility for when its not going well, dont just throw the manager under the bus and hide in the background then start posting again on social media when we have some success.
