Im not really sure about him as he doesnt really have anything to do with the football side of things.

He does seem to take a lot of credit for stuff that hasnt really got a lot to do with him.

Record shirt sales and season tickets sold for example.
A straight yes or no will do with these few questions from yourself

Are you happy to see Steven Gunn leave his position at Aberdeen FC?

Do you think Alan Burrows role at Aberdeen FC is necessary in a footballing capacity?

Is Jimmy Thelin the manager you can fully support at the club?

I've no clue what the guy did, but I've heard he's an OK bloke so good luck to him.
He is an administrator, and was Director of Football Operations until they changed his title to match that previously held by Burkinshaw, 6, and Craig Brown, a fat error.

The reason he was involved in transfers etc was to advise on visas, permits, contracts, payments to selling clubs etc. He had a key role in liaising with UEFA, who after the preliminarly rounds in Euro competitions, "virtually take over Pittodrie" to ensure European standards are met in terms of infrastruture and facilities. Also travel, accommodation and visa arrangements for Euro trips to Bumfvckski, Bovrilio. Given the size of the backroom staff we now employ, he'd have been their top-of-the-tree line manager.

I'd bet the farm on his having **** all to do with player purchase apart from the admin and bean-counting stuff.

Ok perhaps the use of the word useless is a bit harsh.
But with that being said would not mind being able to figure what the actual fcuk he brings to the table as i canna see him brining anything at all.
Do we actually need his "role" at the club? Personally i dont think we do 🤷🏻*♂️

He has undoubtedly raised the profile of the club, hence why our attendances are up and going to the game isn't quite the drab affair it was just a few years ago. I can remember under the Milne years, you would hardly have known their was a football club in Aberdeen, so low was our profile

I'd say he has an important role at the club. We are actually doing pretty well as a club. Results on the pitch haven't been great, but we are still current Scottish Cup holders, so it's not all bad.

I can't get my head around why our fans are so fixated by club administrators. Thank flock they don't put the name of the cleaning staff up on the club site, as our bi-polar fans would be getting stuck into them too, during a poor run.

who the fk are you calling bi-polar ya tw@t.

    Anyway DeeDon my good friend

I hear what you are saying but he winna be doing that and going home with the minimum wage at the end of the week.
Is the enhanced match day experience purely down to him single handedly or has he been helped along with TV, media etc
I would hazard a guess it got a lot to do with the latter as when you look across most teams in the top two divisions in Scotland average attendances are in general up and even a day out at East End park and Somerset is a better experience than it was a few years back.
Burrows is just riding the crest of the wave.

I am confident we will turn our season around. With or without Burrows

Gunn is to be replaced with a "more technical sporting director", according to the P & J.

They are responsible for setting the club's playing style, identifying and recruiting talent, managing budgets, and improving facilities and performance departments.

Again I have nothing personal against Steven Gunn but I dont think he has done a particularly good job and shouldnt be above criticism because he is a nice guy.

I dont know Glass,Goodwin,Robson or Thelin but the majority of them seem like decent people,it hasnt stopped people from criticising them though.
    That's one definition/job description/role profile, but it's not definitive.
I'm led to believe that Gunn's version of the job was less focused on the business end and more organisational.
