    New Vice-Captain

Newcastle?s players are set to learn tomorrow who has been promoted to the role of vice-captain, replacing Callum Wilson.

Fabian Sch?r, Joelinton, Nick Pope and Sandro Tonali are the thought to be the front runners.

Eddie Howe has overseen a democratic process with each player getting a 1, 2, 3 vote on their choice of a team-mate to join the leadership group.

It has been the chatter of the training ground in recent days as to who will win the coveted spot!

Hadn't even thought about this, with Tripps being the official vice-captain but certainly interesting to see.

I suspect it'll be Big Joe or Tonali who get it.

I think of those two, I'd prefer it to be Tonali, he seems more ice cold than Big Joe who lets his emtions rule and we have that with Bruno already.

Sort of see where yourecoming from about JL, but the captaincy made Bruno grow up and his discipline on the pitch has been much better for it.

Tonali just seems a little quiet for me - maybe it will bring a little more vocalness (if that is a word) out of him?

I?d like to see it go to Dan Burn - when he came here he an unspectacular signing, not what we needed to go to the next level, someone who needed to be replaced the next summer - bless him - he?s an England international, first name on the team sheet, plays LB, CB in a back 3 or a 4. Scores us goals and wins us trophies - he?d be so proud 😆 and he should be

    BDB is a shoe-in.

However, Sandro would also be my 2nd choice.

Was thinking about this - is "vice-captain" just the official leadership group?

If so, BDB is already in that.
