    Kristers Tobers

Picked up another bad injury and club saying he will be out for a significant part of the season.

Its not the guys fault but he has been injured more than he has been fit since we signed him for ?800k in January.

Maybe someone at the club should have done a bit more homework on him before we bought him.

    Shame for the loon.

Makes the decision to drop Dorrington from the Euro squad even more daft. Hopefully we can get Alfie back into it now, if allowed.

Who was the lad we signed from either Caley or County, when McInnes was manager and was always injured?
Think the laddie ended up retiring after a spell at StMirren.

I'm tempted to say Ross Draper, but can't remember his name.

Greg Tansey? I remember the arsehole element of our support spreading alcoholic rumours at the time then he came out later and blamed our medical department.

Hadn?t heard about Tobers. Is it all the same injury?

Like you say we all thought his inclusion v Dorrington was odd at the time.

Was Knoester injured at weekend or just taken off as booked? Dorrington wasn’t great on his wrong side.

Tobers - yet another one of Thelin's signings that have been underwhelming to put it mildly. Even before his previous injury sidelined him he looked pretty sh1te to be honest.
Nobody likes to see any of our players out with an injury so hope he makes a speedy and full recovery and all that. Hopefully we can replace in the european squad with Dorrington who in all honesty should have been a pick way WAY ahead of Tobers in the first instance.
Another random and radical decision by Thelin

I dont think its the same injury this time, club website says its a knee injury and will likely be for a significant period of the season so must be a bad one.

When Tobers signed in January he played about 10 games then was out injured,he came back against the huns after the split and played in the final but has been injured since preseason.

Motherwell was his first game back and now he is injured again. Either he has been seriously unlucky since he signed for us this year or he is one of those players that is injury prone.

Hopefully he has just been unlucky because we spent a fair amount of money on him.

Greg Tansey, that's the one. I think both us and his previous club missed his underlying issue, which was bad for him and the club.

We also watched Vinnie get a sore one last season and they let him play on and was then out for the season with ACL??
Jack Milne was the same, got injured, played on and was out for a while.

Maybe, just maybe, our medical/physio team needs looking at.

I certainly don't think Tobers is shyte. I'd certainly say he can play a bit.

I think we signed him coming back off an injury. I can certainly remember hearing he hadn't played much before we signed him and possibly didn't manage him correctly when he arrived, such was the push for results.

Hope we see him back in the jersey, in the not too distant future.

Some people are saying that Tobers injury is an ACL like Vinnies was and the medical team cleared him to carry on playing as well which is a bit concerning.

I always got the impression with Tobers that he was never fully fit last season and we have yet to see the best of him.

Far too early to be writing him off,you just have to hope he can stay clear of injuries when he comes back.

I might be in the minority here with my thoughts on Tobers as I think he is sh1te. And just because we spent a bit of cash to bring him does not really mean anything with Thelin's current signing record and paying money,

Anyway like I say, I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery and comes back and goes on to prove me wrong with my initial opinion of him.

I am also still waiting for Keskinen, Milanovic, Aouchiche, the Current Kevin Nisbet, Yengi, Karlsson, Polvara (tin hat time for that one) to all come good at some point stand up and prove me wrong but sadly I am nae huddin ma breath

Cmon the fk Aberdeen sort this sh1t out we are better than this.

Edited to say I can easily add a lot more names to that list that I am currently waiting for to stand up and come good, but the above list would be a decent start.

I agree with you and would take it a step further and say every single player I have seen play this season is sh!te. The manager is also sh!te.
I will still support the team because the club is Aberdeen FC. Players and managers come and go (good and bad) but when they are here they represent our club and try to be a glowing light in the city.
Currently this lot of incumbents whose mentality for representing Aberdeen FC as a football team are miles off it and extremely very weak.

I am convinced we can get better with the correct staff. Who picks the staff is maybe also needing far more scrutiny as well.

Aberdeen Football Club have been very weak for a long while now. There is a huge lack of desire and application from everyone to improve the main reason why we support the team …. through football. Get the sleeves rolled up when the chips are down. Hiding from doing the extra that is required will drop you further down.

The official website says that we've replaced Tobers with Dorrington for the Euro squad.
