    Compo for Wissa

Newcastle United are set to land a compensation payout from FIFA after the injury suffered by Yoane Wissa on international duty, as part of the Club Protection Programme, an insurance scheme that covers clubs whose players are injured playing for their country and are then unavailable for more than 28 consecutive days.

    Quite right to.

Playing him with no real pre-season caused this and then knackered our season start.

Absolutely fucking typical of our luck that our signing with no pre-season gets injured on international duty whilst Isak sails through his Sweden games.

Hopefully he?s spending his time wisely watching videos and understanding what Eddie will want from him tactically

Thankfully, those games were a catastrophe for Sweden and Isak

Equally though and with this stuck in my throat - Sweden deliberately managed his poor condition because they had other players they could use.

He should not go to the ACON and stay and help us, ?60m for a 29 yearold, he?ll be nearly 30. That?s a shambles

Well it's not - up until this injury he'd missed 3 games in 3 years of the prem through injury - that's a brilliant record. He's a natural goal scorer and we wanted top doller for Isak.

The length of this injury is an absolute outlier in his history.

On that note - I assume we all know he's now going to be out for 8 weeks not 6.

That?s not bad at all to be fair 😳 just become a 48m signing for us - seems a little more reasonable 😆

Does anyone know what they base the compensation value on? We must have made fortune off Michael Owen 😂
