Was out all day today but was alerted to a poor first half by attendees, then saw the score when it were 2-0 down. I thought we would start the same team (if all available) but surprised at the changes to the starting line up. Ok, 2 away games back to back but a 2 week international break so play the same team if possible and make changes once they tire. Ah well it's done now and hopefully we make amends against PNE and look and score more goals than just 1.

Poor starting selection - too late with subs then a pathetic 2 minutes for Bostock when the game was lost at 3-0. We were poor at Norwich and got lucky and shocking today and got what we deserved!

    Collyer did himself no favours!!!
No, he didn't Al. Mind you, quite a few players off the mark today. Hopefully Taylor will be fit enough to return at LB after the international break and we can get back to a back 4 of Campbell, Phillips, Mepham and Taylor. I know Campbell is more naturally a CB and not so good pushing forward but he is pretty solid defensively.

Attack wise I would then start both Mikey and Iling Junior on the wings and play Maja and Heggabo together but it is our midfield that isn't functioning properly at the moment. Defensively, Molumby and Mowatt are not too bad but it's pace and creativity going forward that we lack. Price's performances have dropped off considerably recently and I've found Collyer quite underwhelming. That leaves Styles and Diakite and I would play one of them alongside either Molumby or Mowatt at the moment.

As for Ollie Bostock, I think he may get more opportunities as the season progresses as he could replace either Iling Junior or Mikey later on in games.

Agree with all that but to be honest Styles or Diakite don?t excite me anymore than Collyer so far and have said for a long time Mowatt and Molumby lack pace and creativity. The main reason why Sunderland were promoted last year was because of Jude Bellingham and here lies the moral of the story along with a clinical scorer.

Mason's inexperience and more worrying his lack of attacking intent will get us at best mid table finish .

My main criticism is he lacks the courage to try to win.

He doesn't even try to change a game

He is not the answer - work in progress you say -maybe but a mid table finish is where we'll end up and it won't even be fun to watch

Seems we have the same predicament in our next set of 3 fixtures i.e. 3 matches in 8 days and 2 of them away back to back
with the latter a lunchtime kick off.
Hopefully we can get back to winning ways.

Never mind Baggies, but you will have to wait until April for us to visit the Hawthorns to try to get some points from us, but good luck for the rest of the season. It's cool to be a cat.

To be fair Baggieal I thought Jed gave it a good go, at one stage ran all by himself way down the pitch. But with the wages he is on he won't want to leave. He still has friends at the club, but I am sure you guys will do OK, proberly play off's. I think the championship is the best league and the 3rd best attended after Premier and Bundersliga in all of Europe.

A great opportunity for him to show some initiative in team selection stargazer buddy.
A win, a draw and a loss would be a decent outcome.
