    EFL Championship - P N.E v Sheffield United

    Friday 24th October 2025
    EFL Championship
    P.N.E. versus Blades

Watching the game, Blades have let a 2-0 leas slip, now losing 2-3.
Ex-Millers player Ogbene for the Blades not had a good game, still can't cross a ball, now has been subbed.
Ex-Millers player Michael Smith just come on the pitch has a sub for Preston just missed a sitter, in what is his 500th league game.

A daft own goal for Preston to equalise. The third goal it looked like Mark McGuiness pulled up injured leaving Ben Mee to mark two players. Unfortunately he didn't mark either and they scored. Preston took their chances.

I actually thought the Blades were unlucky tonight, I thought they did enough to get at least a point. Had it not been for some bad luck they would have. Although I doubt their fans will see it that way.

And yes, Smudge missed a total sitter.

As for Ogbene, I'd be thinking twice about having him back here on that performance. He was absolute gash tonight.

His game was all about pace and now unfortunately he seems to have lost it.

Ogbene on loan from Ipswich Town suffered a rupture of his Achilles Tendon in October 2024, last season playing for Ipswich Town, out for 9 month's, so missed rest of last season.
Injury probably slowed him up, while having a mindset that he hangs back a bit, & doesn't want to have a repeat of the injury.
Ogbene first African born player to play for Republic of Ireland.
