    He's quickly enough jumped ship again, this time to Barcelona, even though he had a Michelin Star restaurant on his doorstep. He seems a very pleasant, religious family man, but quite honestly mon ami, I wouldn't like to cross him.

    Despite the initial pessimism when he took over, here we are back in the EPL and still not gone flat broke.

    He has no reported issues of bad personal behaviour or business nasties mon ami, quite the contrary. Saint Alan of Gawthorpe perhaps.
