Felipe Massa's lawyer says Massa missing out on the 2008 WDC is one of the biggest scandals in sporting history.

No doubt there is controversy around it but to me 2021 is many many times more scandalous because it was the governing body itself that cheated to hand Verstappen the title.

Can't see Massa winning though surely.

I'm not a Hamilton fan (unusually I've always been a team fan, Williams, don't laugh) but IMO the 2021 debacle is the biggest unresolved sporting 'scandal' in my life following sports. Mrs F said that night that if it wasn't reversed she'd never watch F1 again, and she hasn't. But it wasn't 'cheating' as such, just high level sporting body incompetence

2008 is different because the incident in question was definitely 'cheating' but the beneficiary (Hamilton) and his team were innocent parties

There was a post on, I think, crash.net that put forward the question 'would you take 2008 off Hamilton if you could also give him 2021'. The resulting spat made anything here seem tame...

2021 was a disgrace, IMO. Hamilton should have got his 8th title and removed Schumacher from the record books. 2008 had nothing to do with Lewis or the team.

Hamilton seems to get on the wrong of decisions. Look at last week. Leclerc and Verstappen both gained an advantage going off the track, Hamilton does it (as a result of Verstappens indiscretion) and they stewards couldn't wait to penalise him.

I'm not a Hamilton fan but in 3021 F1 needed refreshing, needed a new champion, needed a new constructor winning. They got it by hook or by crook. The sport is bigger than any individual. Sure It was a fix but I'm not shedding any tears if Hamilton doesn't get 8.

Schumacher should only have 6 anyway. Not sure why they disqualified him from the championship for deliberately hitting villeneauve but didn't for doing worse to Damon Hill
