    Griffiths Again

You sell a great keeper in Palmer and you get Griffiths who some say he’s improving. In my book whilst we got out of jail today - the amount of goals which Griffiths should have saved is costing us.

A kid on a park pitch would probably have saved those two goals today. For me - we need another keeper in the January window and keep Griffiths for back up,

He has been playing well this season. Most likely the ten in front of him don't imbue him with confidence either.
I'm more irate with some players who don't play then does who do. Dike, Maja for a start. Jeez Christmas is upon us and still no sign of some long termers...

He?s done ok but let?s in some shocking goals though Dubs. You wouldn?t have got that with Palmer!

Yeah, true but he couldn't kick a ball out without finding the sidelines.

The first one he wasnt saving, but the second was his fault. However, you cant call for kids to be played and then drop them over a few errors. Overall he is a decent goalie and the experience will benefit him.

The point Matt was he’s letting in quite a few goals which he shouldn’t. Decent goalie? He’s ok but Palmer was a different class. Like saying Wallace and Junior are OK but Fellows again was a different class.

Bostock could be a different class too if Mason was brave. He’s certainly a step up from Junior!

He wasn’t saving the first one because he was in no man’s land; he needed to either stay on his line or get close enough to their player to block any shot.

I totally agree. He?s made some excellent saves this season and obviously some mistakes. He?s relatively inexperienced at this level but if the fans get behind him that will only help him and boost his confidence.
I also thought Mason?s post match interview was good for a change.

Football is strange. We expect perfection all the time and that development will be linear. I think Eze at Arsenal is one of the best attacking mids in the world right now. He didnt make it at his first four academies but the last 5 years he has just gotten better and better.

We flogged Chris Wood because we couldnt be bothered to develop him.

The point is, the lad needs experience and to be backed, otherwise what is the point in academies?

They sold Palmer to meet FFP rules and because this lad is a decent goalie, that with time might be much better than decent.

    Good points smudge buddy.
Aged 24, he’s certainly beyond a youngster, however will need the support of his team when clangers made. It was apparent to me that he did receive good support from his colleagues.
