    Inspired Substitutes

To be fair to Mason, all of them jointly contributed to turning the game around.
Bielik looked classy, Campbell showed an attacking prowess-not really evidenced before, Maja had a controlled and decisive performance and it was good to see Grant?s commitment.
After the disgraceful first half performance, an excellent spirited second.
?I don?t believe it? as my avatar would say

Credit to Mason for his half time subs, his job was certainly on the line, it was great to get a win and to see the players definitely playing for him, after all the excitement has died down the reality is that the starting X1 was still wrong ( too much tinkering), even after such an early goal there was no reaction, no energy, no enthusiasm, the second half levels are what are expected in every game, in the Championship if you don?t match the opposition for energy, commitment, grit, the will to win you will get beat, look at Millwall, Bristol City etc there squads on paper are nowhere near as good as ours yet they are pushing for promotion
A big change in attitude and commitment is required for QPR plus dropping Price, Junior, Gilchrist and Philllips or Mepham
I still think Mason is on thin ice, one improved second half performance against a poor Swansea side doesn?t make things alright

No consistency with the team. I would be more impressed if after a ten game winning streak we are having this conversation. But too many players produce for about a game or two and then disappear. And most annoyingly, thy all seem to disappear at the same time..
No over lap. Anyway, hopefully a good December could pull us away from relegation area, which was appearing on the horizon rather quickly.

Not taking anything away from the players effort and commitment in the second half Prando but in all honesty I believe that it wasn't so much a case of inspired substitutions as selecting the wrong starting eleven in the first place.

When I saw the team sheet, my initial thoughts were that Mikey should be on the right and Grant on the left because that has worked for us before and Grant (whilst not a goal scorer) brings energy and IMHO offers more than Illing Junior. Similarly, we all know that Price has been very underwhelming recently and that replacing him with Maja to play just behind Heggebo would have been a better option. Recent performances have also shown that Campbell, already solid in his defensive play, is improving in his forward play also and that both he and the experienced Bielik would be better than Gilchrist. This isn't hindsight on my behalf but just based on what I've seen before and I'd be surprised if others don't feel similarly.

Whatever the case, a good win in the end and at least a demonstration of the kind of togetherness and intent within the group. Hopefully the confidence can now carry over, Mason will have learnt some lessons regarding his best formation/ selections and we can start turning the corner at last.

Bang on there Bomber!!! Consistent starting selections and attacking intent from the off!

Do I think Mason has turned a corner? No - he does not get it!

First time he has shown us any management skills, and the first time the bench have shown any guile. The dressing room must have been blistering at half time, but it worked. I expect this to be a one off, though.

Supporters singing you're not fit to wear the shirt as the players went off at half time.
It needed a change around as Mason would have been out if we'd have lost.
Thankfully he lives to fight another day.
