I thought your Gawthorpe Black Holer was going to take you all the way to the Final CiB. Where did it all go wrong ?

Is it a good draw for our brave boys ? I don't even know who we're playing.
If a World Cup chat is not about football, then what is mon ami?

Sticking to the brief, I have so little interest in this corrupt FIFA pantomime that it's almost Sunday dinner time and I still don't know who we are playing, nor do I care. How has it come to this ?

My son and his mates calculated the cost of attending Trump's pantomime just like they did in Germany last time out, but have decided to invest in a tour of South America instead.

I think looking at the price quoted for even the cheapest World Cup final ticket (?3120) a lot of fans will decide to be giving this a miss. Good luck with their tour of South America but there are definitely some countries there any reasonable person would think at least twice before visiting.

The thought of buying tickets at outrageous prices and then travelling to the USA only to be denied entry because Donald has found something on social media which he didn't like really makes me think that this whole show is corrupt from top to bottom. The 'peace prize' just adds fule to the fire, although the Orange Man has halted 8 wars you know.

My interest in the World Cup is definitely not where it used to be when I saw us win it.

I remember going as a tourist to part of Venezuela many years ago (Chavez was President and Maduro waiting to take over) and we needed a police escort for safety.

I well remember going to Italy to watch England play in Rome and got my head kicked in by the Italian police because I was walking while wearing an England shirt.
