If you want to see that in action, go and sit in the back of a Magistrates Court that is dealing with 'overnight remand prisoners' and you will see a procession of men charged with domestic abuse with offences up to and including rape. It's always the position, but the numbers shoot up even higher at Christmas and during major football tournaments, presumably as the consumption of alcohol works its magic.

Even a current Reform MP (James McMurdock) has served a prison sentence for beating up a girlfriend, but that's okay because Nigel says so.

I may be wrong and am open to correction, but I don't recall anyone starting threads about that reality for women and girls in this country.

So, can someone please explain what the fascination with the ethnicity of offenders is all about? It doesn't just extend to violence against women. When someone drove his car into a load of football supporters, the thread that was started on here quickly fizzled out when it turned out that the driver was white, British and a former Royal Marine. Is anyone willing to pretend that thread wouldn't have run into hundreds of posts if it turned out to be someone with a foreign sounding name?

Is it that the posters who join in the feeding frenzy following cases that like that in Leamington think it is somehow worse for a women or child to be abused by someone who isn't British? You would struggle to sell that to a victim.

Is it that some people think that if 'our' women are going to be abused it is going to be 'us' that does it? I would have been hesitant to make such a seemingly outrageous suggestion, but for the fascinating statistics that showed how many of the men involved in the post-Southport riots had a history of being arrested for domestic abuse.

If the argument is that non-British men are more likely to commit offences against women and girls then I'd like to see the data that supports that (reliable and age adjusted figures, not some random Tweet from a hate merchant).
I think many people point towards other demographics and serious crime because we have welcomed them here or they have successfully found refuge or are awaiting an outcome on that .

With that in mind I suspect we hold said demographics to a higher standard and expect them not to commit acts of serious crime having given them an opportunity to have a better life .

Of course we have monsters within our indigenous population nobody could possibly say otherwise but that probably comes with more acceptance , that probably isn't the greatest term to describe them but i can't think of anything else that would work and that acceptance is because there's very little we can do about it other than clean our own rubbish up .

Cleaning someone else's rubbish up is a different thing altogether .

Let me re-frame my questions: If 'white people do this too' and you have an awareness of the widespread abuse of women within our society, why haven't you called that out as a national emergency? Why is it only if the offenders are of a particular ethnicity or hold a particular immigration status that a thread is started and a national emergency called for? Are victims of white British violence less worthy of concern?

I don’t pretend anything (unless I am being paid to). You clearly believe that it’s an ‘ever growing problem’ and a ‘major problem’ and that’s fair enough. You are entitled to hold those views, but in the absence of a sound evidential basis it’s a very strange thing to do.
It seems that white British victims were/are less of a concern when it came to the grooming gangs. Maybe this has led people to voice their concerns more when someone from a different ethnicity is the perpetrator because of the history of how authorities deal with it or don’t?

Government looking at ECHR and I presume potentially watering it down when it comes to the basis of asylum claims , something I'm in favour of but let's see the detail , it's not a human right to choose which country you want to live in but ECHR seems to believe it is aided by creative lawyers for instance .

As I understand it , UK Parliament can pass laws incompatible with the ECHR leading to a declaration of incompatibility .

The only deterrent this spineless government has is the bad weather we have had over the last few weeks.Today it is calm and hundreds are coming over already this morning and this will accelerate throughout the day.Still, a State of Emergency has not been made !!!!!!! The govt. has allowed over forty thousand illegal migrants in so far this year and there the ones that have been recorded, how many others are there?????

The weather's good so that means hundreds more illegal migrants coming over.We don't have a clue who they are but it's costing us billions that we cannot afford. How many of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps will be in that number?Unlike other European countries we have not banned this terrorist group which is weakening the security of us all. However, the Islamic Green Party want to allow open borders, enabling easier access for everybody. This government has lost total control !!!!!

Should we (the taxpayer) pay to evacuate tax dodging British immigrants in the Middle East to bring them back to the UK or should they pay for it themselves?

It was so much better in Victorian times when aristocracy was butchering prostitutes there.
