When away teams come to SJP, the security should take their instruments off them at the turnstiles.
There should never be a time, like Dortmund 2 yrs ago where the away fans drown out the Toon Army, as they did on that night.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the German teams atmosphere is plastic?
They play cheese music like a tacky Championship team when they score a goal and they've all got a drummer or some sort of brass instrument player blaring noise constantly through the 90 mins.
If it was a Prem team with a drummer or a horn player, they'd get mocked mercilessly.

Any team that uses equipment to make noise is not good. Loud hailers, Leicester City clappers, drums or those horrendous South Africa WC things. All sh*t.
I thought the atmosphere at Marseille sounded class but agree about Germany. Borussia Dortmund would be good if they got rid of their equipment.
SA FIFA WC Finals was my 2nd Finals. The Vuvuzela is the offending abusive noise maker.
For us in broadcasting it was a complete nightmare. It completely destroyed the audio mix in the trucks. We had complaints from every global broadcaster and made rush shipments of a variety of audio compression card for the Audio desk mainframes. It assisted the broadcast but there was zero atmosphere in the stadiums when African Nations were playing and everyone else from around the world hated it.
It makes me angry just thinking about it.
NFL fans over here all sound the same no matter which game you're watching then of course you always have that constant monotonous drum beat. Don't mind the pom pom girls though.![]()
