Thread: Sunderland win again.

    Sunderland win again.

Just watched the Tyne and Wear derby a week after we played Newcastle and the difference between the Sunderland performance and ours is startling. You would never think they scraped through to the PL via the play offs and we got automatic last season.
Somebody is responsible for this ****fest at the club and they need outing.

Sunderland were rubbish, Newcastle were even worse and the best team on the park were the officials in a difficult game to officiaite.
Awful match with a total of 11 shots with just 3 on target, although the winning goal was a brilliant header, even though it was an own goal.
Yet another over-hyped derby match which was never going to be won by Newcastle ---they haven't beaten Sunderland in the Premier League for 10 games or 14 years.

Palace and Fulham were rubbish but we got the square root of FA. The difference between the mention sides and Sunderland is that they are disciplined and can grind out results, not like us.

We are has weak as pish

You have added to my opinion that the Premier League is over-hyped as a league when, to be honest, there are lots of rubbish teams just as every other top league. The fact that Sunderland are where they are in the league just show how poor it is.
Football these days is based on who can get the best statisitcs, however, they have lost sight of the fact that goals win matches and not many are scored outside of the German Bundesliga, which still maintains over 3 goals per game average.

It is over-hyped rubbish Sub.Did you see the Sunderland keeper falling around like he had been shot then all the handbags. It really is a pathetic spectacle.I am looking forward to some proper games back in the Championship next season if or should I say when we are relegated.

Whilst I am no fan of VAR, something needs to be done about all the cheating that is going on. I watched Palace and City yesterday. On several occasions players on both sides went down clutching their faces or their legs, invariably rolling around in supposed agony.

The Sky replays showed in most cases that no-one made contact with them and, if they did, it was nowhere near where they were claiming to be injured.

In one case a City player went down claiming a head injury. Minimal contact by the Palace player but they then went through the concussion protocol before play continued.

The ultimate irony being that on a couple of occasions the offenders told the opposition player to get up and stop cheating, only to do exactly the same themselves.

Swiss ---I was obviously typing my response at the same time that you were. Two different games ---same cheating!

CiB, I couldn't agree more and not just the Sunderland keeper's antics. So many players are falling over at the slightest touch, holding their faces when contact was made on any part of the body or even their legs. Happened three times in the Sunderland game when players had taken a knock to their legs but were laying on the pitch clutching their heads which makes the referee duty bound to stop the game. It is blatant cheating!

I have to admit that I no longer have any desire to spend money on going watching much football in the football league and I content myself by watching non-league almost every weekend where you have players doing their best and officials doing their best, if not always correct in their decision making. Everyone just gets on with the game and we have some great banter in the crowd and all for a fiver entrance fee and a pie and a pint for the same amount!
