    Meh thoughts on mwell

    Here goes...tin hat.

I thought we were reasonably well organised, disciplined and shape wasn't too bad.

Never at any point thought we were gonna be overrun but always thought we were likely to lose by 1.

2 or 3 very decent performances but that's no quite enough at this level.

We are fairly punchless going forward, me personally think we shud put the ball in earlier......we have so little opportunity to put it in we shud take it when we have the chance.

Fans generally were ok but Elvis gtf at nil nil will never sit well with me.

I thought we'd lose, we did lose but came close to containing them.

We need to beat Falkirk or Killie to keep us aff the btm at new year......then see what we are made of with January signings.

Nelms has made a right royal **** up but I've seen worse and far more disorganised teams than what Elvis put out today.

Why did we persist in just punting the ball up the park from McCracken and just hand them back posession every time? Unbeleivable at times.

I don't have much confidence that we'll beat either Falkirk or Killie, it's difficult to be confident in a team winning when that team is set up not to have the ball and that just punts it back to the opposition when they do get it.

Again I have little faith that better players will come to the club in January. And even if they do will it get better? Or will they still be set up to sit in against ordinary sides like Falkirk and Killie?

The state the club's in sits squarely on Nelms' shoulders but Pressley has to take some flak for the players in his squad and for the way he sets them out to play some of the worst football I've seen in my over 50 years of going to Dens. Nelms has alienated the fans and Pressley has the team playing a terrible brand of football - that's without going into his inexplicable and often delusional ramblings in press interviews.

I never wanted Pressley as our manager however I won't join in the chants against him, that helps or solves nothing, that said I can't get behind him. I have no plans to go back to Dens this season despite having a season ticket and as it stands I won't be renewing that season ticket next year unless Nelms realises what a complete balls up he's made in hiring Pressley and gets rid. That sounds like it's personal against Pressley but I don't see it like that, I see it as having too much respect for the club that Dundee FC used to be to accept the state it's in right now and the fact that yet another poor managerial appointment has been made.

I honestly wonder if it's deliberate by Nelms and Keyes so that they can pi55 off enough of us that they can blame the fans not turning up when they pull the plug on the club.

    Fair enough post.

I just think he is setting us up best he can with what he has available.

That team was so young yesterday it just wasn't an spl team.

It's far easier to build again from the premier league.....fans focus should be on helping team stay up and opposition to Nelms/Strachan should be D4L led......they have to speak out this week.

Going to Killie and Falkirk games after my sabbatical......1 in 1 out......no going in a dinghy though. 😀

I think relegation isnt inevitable, the situation is retrievable as the players were still busting a gut for the coach from what I saw yesterday.

Can't say I was entertained yesterday but I didn't think the players or coach were taking the piss.

Can't say for certain but I think they were looking for Hay to make a pest of himself and try and pick up the scraps but never really worked or that sorta across the line run from Hay but keepers kicking has to be quick and super accurate.

    Pretty basic tactics.

Cant see us winning many games as there is no goal threat, Murray up front on his own, easy to mark, and spends the majority of the game chasing defenders.
Elvis tactics, are not to lose games, only time we put pressure on the opposition is when we lose a goal,
the big lad upfront, AQUEA,looks the part, cant even kick the ball properly, i despair, very little quality in the squad.
going to be difficult to get decent players in at January window.
Beginning to wonder if Nelms has planned this shambles, maybe thats why he did not apologise and resign.

We just have to win enough Deecom.

It will be difficult to get players, that's not the fans problem though ...nelms and recruitment strategy he's put in place.

The only thing the fans can try and do is get this team over the line re staying up.....I don't think the players aren't putting the effort in....they are what they are.

I've said for 5 or 6 years now Nelms is THE major problem.....he's done more to alienate me from the club than any **** manager or team.

I'm still hoping against hope that D4L are gonna lead this but any organised protest shouldn't jeopardise the teams chances of staying up.

That's good news, 3 years wasted but good news.

The quicker they announce their intentions the better.....if I think they are on the right track I'll try and rejoin.

Assessment pretty much as I saw it.?rseholes chanting for managers head without a thought as to what that means.Motherwell are unbeaten in 10, not conceded a goal in 6 and are 3rd in league. Not sure what these ?rseholes thought we could get out of game midway through 1st half.
