Good question, Malwayne. It seems that the thinking is that, if the player has premier league experience, he is the target in this case,
Yes Broja has PL experience and that experience shows that he is not PL quality.
I know that Flemming has his critics - well, CiB - at least he has scored, gets into scoring positions and does give defences something to think about. But Cardy favours Broja!
I noticed that once Foster was subbed we played several balls over the top but not when he played, beyond my understanding!
It's not surprising that we play so many balls square and back because a player looking up in the opponent's half does not often see
more than one BFC player in their box. I don't know if this is part of some plan or not, but it can't lead to us getting many chances.
Who was responsible for buying Broja? A question which applies not just to Broja imo.
Other questions need to be asked about the set up at BFC. The Gawthorpe black hole is one. Why players never show improvement is another. No forward should have a useless other foot unless he is a Puskas. Technical improvement is not achieved by magic.
Two games lost by very poor marking or positioning. As somebody said there is no point in doing things that don't work over and over.
We have obviously problems all over the bloody shop, but what we don't have what every other side do have is ball carriers.
Ekdal, Esteve, Florentino and Cullen or all guilty of playing a pass only, and mostly sideways, we need these players carrying the ball occasionally and making surging runs down the middle of the park, which puts the opposition under pressure and creates chances.
Has Broja earned a start in our next two home games v Everton and Newcastle? If so Edwards should probably start too as we obviously need someone who can put decent crosses in.
This fella looks to be finally shaping up.
From what I saw of him in the 1st half against Fulham he looks like something we are missing, he is strong, can play a bit and run with the ball.
He literally hasn't played for years due to injury but now looks to be getting back into shape. If he keeps fit we have a real asset on our hands with this lad, he looks a massive up grade on Foster, who has been disappointing throughout his Burnley career
I know good un when I see one, and will nail my reputation to the goal post with this lad
I still don’t rate him, though his goal yesterday was welcome. If Chelsea saw something in him, why did they sell him to us ?
