Is there anyone at RUFC involved with the management of the club or first team squad capable of doing a good job? Perhaps the CFO who stops us going into too much debt but other than that, everywhere you look it seems those involved are very mediocre. Great leaders surround themselves with good people, entrust them, empower them and support them does anyone see such an approach at RUFC?

Apart from one key component, the executive and management team at RUFC is basically the same as it was 5 years ago when the grass it would appear was much greener. There are still some on here that despise that key component for drinking tea and wearing a bobble hat. In addition, the captain of the ship is 5 years older, probably 20m pounds worse off and seemingly unable or unwilling to steer us around the icebergs in the sea.

CAM I get your point, but time impacts us all and usually not for the better, I am asking about based on what we are seeing are they capable of operating at a level needed? Perhaps some are sat there on good salaries coasting?

Autocrats are rarely great leaders and certainly don't "surround themselves with good people, entrust them, empower them and support them."
They usually prefer people who do as they're told, don't make waves and subsequently become overly comfortable in their roles.

The Commercial set up at the club is mediocre at best and revenue from this area remains pretty stagnant.
Whose idea was it to build retail units into the stadium obviously with no watertight plan in place for how they would be used? Most of them are still empty more than 13 YEARS after the stadium opened. That's bordering on criminal from a commercial perspective.

Who is responsible for a strategy to retain the existing supporter base and attract the next generation of fans?
I suspect no-one is tasked with this.

Do we actually know if the manager has any say in player recruitment or is this entirely down to Rob Scott and the manager subsequently has to work with what he's given?
This is not uncommon at football clubs nowadays but the manager always pays the price when it fails.

Apparently the CFO is doing a good job so maybe we should look forward to being the tightest run ship in League 2. Exciting times ahead 🫣

People often say "where are the leaders on the pitch" but the real problem is there aren't any leaders off the pitch.

Lets be clear, we dont have a CFO or a COO. We have an Accountant and an Office Manager. Neither have any decision making capabilities that would befit a C-Level role. Having spoken at length to PD a couple of times, it is quite clear that is the case

Perhaps Tony Stewart could do with giving Sir Jim Ratcliffe a call to ask his views on how to streamline the club more to trim the wage bill.

Not that it would ever happen but, it would be interesting to see what he could come up with. It's clearly obvious we have an outdated model that needs a total overall.
