Thread: Blackpool post match reflections

Does anyone think the stewarts would see the stadium and team as a package. I very much doubt it. As the stadium is a revenue income. So who would buy a team and then have to pay rent. we would be back to the booth millmoor days.

For me whats galls me most is what we have to pay for season tickets one of the highest in league 1 and championship for comparison.

in regards hamshaw I had hopes. but with the wages stewarts pay what calibre of player do we expect.

injuries have affected us but he doesn't have a plan b .

I see all the arguments for giving Hamshaw more time and people make very good points, it all comes down to what is TS plan, or even his goal for this year. My personal opinion is our priority is to stay up first, then clear out those on silly wages and sell where we can. This then makes the product he has to sell a lot more attractive, lower financial liabilities, higher up the pyramid and less inherited players for whoever is manager next year.

I still think Powell should have been given a contract extension as that means we have a sellable asset and not one that walks away, whatever people think of him, he is a sellable player and he will walk into another club with a nice sign on fee. My concern is I am not seeing anything that makes me think MH or his cronies know how to keep us up and just swapping a few players won?t do it.

The question was asked whether we would have lost those five games with Spence, benson and nombe fit, the answer is no we wouldn?t have, we also miss McWilliams massively. So if you are going to struggle to score what do you do first? Stop conceding goals, keep it simple and make yourself difficult to score against. Second, use set pieces to get the odd goal to try and grasp a point or a 1-0 win.

With clean sheets and points comes confidence, this team lack confidence and now MH openly says that the effort isn?t there and the players are answering back at him. That isn?t TS fault, that isn?t the fault of RS or PD, they have their own failings. The issues we are seeing are down to the management and coaching, yet they keep repeating the same tactics and approaches to games, that is not the behaviour of an intelligent individual it is the behaviour of a stubborn man that is losing the fans and by his account elements of the dressing room.

How bad the latter is or isn?t we don?t know but it cannot make any of us feel good to hear him bring it up. So twist or stick is the question, there are arguments for both, it is up to TS to decide after all it is his club at the end of the day, even though we love it and feel the pain at times like this. However, what do I know, I just talk b****x and don?t have the genius and great intellectual footballing knowledge of others on this site.

I'll admit I put this through the bollax tester and it came out negative

No evidence but I feel the dressing room unrest may be down to or was at least amplified by the way he made an example of his captain by hauling him off at half time against Udders.

Pal, for gawd’s sake, use paragraphs and give our eyes a rest.

Do we actually know there is dressing room unrest? If so it may explain some of the most appalling effort and lack of skill in a team i’ve seen in many a long year.
No, there is no proof, yet players are getting away with murder, while a manager takes the rap. Think about it all you MH knockers.

Do we know MH is single handedly signing these 13 players, of course not. Would he have the final word, is having? Again no.

Apart from the schoolboy errors which are taking place in the pitch, we know exactly nothing as to reasons, yet many think they do.

What we actually see is all we really know, not why.

Per the middle of DM's paragraphless post:

"MH openly says that the effort isn?t there and the players are answering back at him."

Dressing room unrest or healthy discussion?

The best thing which can happen on this platform is to comment on what we see, not guess at what we think may be, should be, may not be.
Most of what we would LIKE to happen probably is not going to happen.

The frustration on here is palpable. Channel it wisely.

Hang on cam, answering back is not necessarily meant as arguing, could mean quite the opposite.

If and it’s a tall if, it has gone as sour as is being suggested, there is only the time served course, either the man goes or the squad does.

I read and heard, but sometimes people hear what they want to hear.
