Richardson had no chance with us I completely agree. He inherited a mess in the Championship as bad, if not worse, than the circus Paul Warne inherited after the Alan Stubbs/Kenny Jackett farce.
People were sympathetic to Warne and were mostly understanding as that season was lost and relegation inevitable. His reluctant everyman persona won a lot of people over and most wanted him to succeed (although he seemed to lose a lot of support the first time he wore a bobble hat)
Richardson came across more dour, irritated, overly keen for people to know it wasn't his fault. It's no wonder really that TS wanted to replace him with someone he thought the fans would get behind so the knee jerk decision to bring Steve Evans in happened. What is more concerning to me though is that Matt Taylor, Richardson and Steve Evans all came to us with decent reputations for getting results and all tanked
