We will always have ups and downs, Moyes at Everton is a great example his first stint, good season average season, good season average season, followed by a few good seasons in a row because he was able to build over time

Just like wee Jim, who btw took a few years to get us punching, and btw lost derbies at Tannadice and lots of games to Rangers who were relatively average at the time

We've never had a losing run like Stephen Robinson teams get each season under JG, very up and down his teams, they go on losing runs and winning runs, our fans wouldn't stand for the type of losing runs he goes on each season

Absolutely no point changing manager unless you find something like that Askou at Motherwell and even then they are on less pts than Goodwins Utd were last season

If we change we'll just be in the same situation or worse in a years time (but add instability to the club at a time when we've started to find it on and off the field after ten years), that's been our problem, we need a run of 5 or so years with one person at the reigns through good and bad (relegation not acceptable of course)

Keep the heads, no short term thinking
So we just have to put up with the negative approach then do we, we need to stop being hysterical yeah? Is it ok maybe if we dont agree with you? You talked positive stats all through our relegation season remember, and everyone one else was wrong. Except we weren't

Lying down to Celtic yet again is not f*cking acceptable, Motherwell played them off the park. We need to approach games with a winning mentality but thats not going to happen under Jim.

Game went pretty much the way I thought it would.

No spine or fight in the team. Defence minded from the start and hoping to hit on the break with that long ball nonsense.

There?s no sugar coating this. We are awful to watch. I think it says it all when you take off 2 strikers and replace one of them with a defender when we are behind. With 2 so called strikers left on the bench.

Didn?t expect to win today but that was pathetic .

Come on now, we were easily beat by Celtic away. How many times have we had to watch that? Even when we beat them a few weeks ago we could have been 4 down in the first half. This kind of pish can happen there. I'm in no way saying we should accept this but it's just the reality of the situation.

If Ogren thinks Jim is the man he needs to spend to bring in quality, if he thinks he has spent enough then he needs to get rid of Jim.

One or both need to happen and before end of Jan otherwise by end of Feb we are out the cup and in a fight to avoid play off.

St Mirren may go on losing runs but they are usually good to watch and have a go. Losing 4-0 to Celtic isn't a rarity and I'll get over It. Not having a go at them and lesser teams (In the first half especially) makes me question what I'm watching. We were very lucky the last game against Wilfried Nancy's Celtic. As we could and probably should have been down 4-0 at HT.
I grew up watching Counter attacking teams under JM. Sitting back and still getting beat Is pathetic. We didn't react at all when we had a S*** keeper a few seasons ago and got relegated. Not saying we are anywhere near that bad but we should be higher up the league. We have an ok squad and should be having a go. Blame lies in one location I'm afraid.

Agree with this, but understand how travelling fans who are spending hard earned money at this time of year are running out of patience.

This is the 3rd team JG has built and it took real bravery to make the wholesale changes he did this season. Youngest squad in the division with 17 different nationalities, they look very good in spells, bloody awful in others! JG absolutely deserves the chance to get this right. My understanding is he has cut the losses at the club significantly whilst still avoiding the relegation battle, and we have a chance of top 6 and a cup run. Disappointing to have another insipid performance after last week, but half that team have never played at Celtic Park, and it was a gala day for them was always gonna be tough. Let?s remember how many seasons we have spent in the 2nd tier recently, a mediocre season is better than gassing 11 managers in as many seasons and racking up millions of loses in tier 2, which is where we were when JG arrived. He is not above criticism, but not is he sackable yet!

The low return in terms of wins between now and May might change that equation, but for now, bring in a few in January and let?s wait and see.

I'd just rather lose trying than whatever that was supposed to be

Yep this for me. I don?t think he should go- continuity is better than dipping back in to the managerial merry go round.

But the lack of any sort of fight today is soul destroying. No pressure on the ball, just watching Celtic pass around us. Thats unacceptable as a fan.
