What makes this worse is our COO (the man in charge of Operations) doesn’t see this as an issue, in fact he states that because MH and the fitness guy haven’t raised it with him it must be ok! Remember this is a manager that said earlier in the season that they had looked at everything related to the injuries and all areas they could had been addressed. Am I the only person on here that sees this is a new level of farce and incompetence? In my eyes it is madness, the emporer is not only naked he isn’t even riding a horse, he is riding an Ass.
No you're not the only one Derby, and it shines a light on the lack of support the manager has.

What chance does he have? Support clearly isn't just in the form of funds to put eleven players on the pitch, it's the entire club infrastructure (backroom staff, training facilities), having an environment to encourage success and lines of communication.

For instance, Paul Douglas said that he didn't know what Hamshaw had said in his after match interview v Peterborough. Can you just imagine being Matt Hamshaw and hearing that the COO hadn't been bothered to listen to what you had to say?

Whatever anyone thinks, Matt Taylor, Leam Richardson and Steve Evans are not ALL bad managers but they all failed at this football club for one reason or another. That's worth thinking about if anyone thinks sacking Hamshaw is the answer right now.

Very good points. In some respects, this is why having someone like MH who is a rookie, makes matters worse. He won?t challenge the executive team. That said, I suspect TS and the band of sycophants that make up the exec, including PD, wouldn?t listen to anyone.

Day 11 of January tomorrow and not a single inward move made. Pathetic and negligent.

We don't know obviously but I thought Ryan One was a done deal, clearly not. As for Watmore, again what's the hold up? The guy is a free agent so it isn't like we're waiting for his club to make a decision.

Just on that, I don't particularly want us to sign Watmore but it makes you wonder if our current level of injuries are making him reluctant to sign. He's had a few bad injuries himself and he may feel that it's a risk coming to us. Then again he might just want more money than is currently on the table.

Need a fit ready to play big forward have all season. Not 2 like Nombe unless he's going.

Have just caught up with the last few pages of postings. Thanks to all who have contributed; an interesting debate that has certainly helped me look at the questions with fresh insight.

Good to see the board being used for positive reasons, even if this particular problem is overloaded with negativity.

Quite a few of us posters on this MM site, have been calling for someone on the board with football knowledge for years.

I believe every word he says. Otherwise it implies he's telling fibs which without proof that's thin ice.
I'm sure you mean iyo it's different to how PD sees it.
