I don't know anyone like that but accept it's possible. But that's not monetising it via looting and corrupt charities is it, it's simply seeking affirmation of their own narrative

So you really don’t believe that the likes of Farage, Pochin, Anderson, Jenrick and Katie Hopkins have built their ‘careers’ - and thus benefitted monetarily - from espousing their racist views? I mean where do you honestly think Tommy Robinson would be if he wasn’t the far Right’s poster boy?

US oil companies are not going to rush into Venezuela and spend billions to build new production. They already have roughly half a trillion dollars sunk into Canada. Oil pipelines, refineries, long term contracts. That capital is locked in.
If they suddenly flood the market with Venezuelan heavy crude, they undercut themselves. More supply pushes prices down. That devalues the Canadian assets they already paid for.
Companies do not sabotage their own balance sheets. Venezuela also means political risk, sanctions risk, legal risk, infrastructure decay, and years before meaningful output. Canada is stable, predictable, and already producing.
So the idea that US oil companies want to replace Canadian oil with Venezuelan oil does not hold up economically.
They protect existing investments first. Always.
And remember, OPEC sets production targets yearly, and it would not allow Venezuela to suddenly flood the market and disrupt agreed output levels for countries like Egypt or Russia that are already producing less.
Also, isn't one of the reasons for the current low oil output in Venezuela, US sanctions?

Lol…Zahawi? As part of Johnson’s Cabinet he said he’d be ‘frightened to live in a country led by Farage’…now he sees Reform as a ‘glorious revolution’. What a disingenuous tw@t.

Trump not wanting "Russia that close" as a reason for wanting Greenland. Does he realise how close Alaska is to Russia?

Alaska and Russia are closest at the Bering Strait, where the mainland is about 55 miles (88 km) apart, but the narrowest point between the Diomede Islands (US-owned Little Diomede and Russian-owned Big Diomede) is only 2.5 miles (3.8 km), with the International Date Line running between them.

More Demented Don or did he skip geography lessons?

Let's not forget him going all out on Angela Rayner over 40k, yet Zahawi had millions owing

Its bizarre, especially given farage's previous comments about Zahawi only looking to climb the greasy pole!! So Reform increasingly looking like a repository for the most useless, idiotic Tories!!

One laughs when fagae say he wants people with expereinc eof government, I mean yes these clowns do have that, but expereince of ****ing things up is not exactly good experience is it?

But will the ****wits who support reform stop and wonder why its got a load of (often rich) ex Tories on board, when Farage is promising a change from the old ways of government?

Still it will be fun, when as will inevitably happen, Zahawi falls out with Farage.

I suspect, Swale, that the only thing the halfwits you speak of will object to is that Zahawi is a tad ‘swarthy’ for their taste.

Given that recently a Reform councillor said that someone not born in the UK shouldn't be an MP, there is going to be a fair few members who will presumably be questioning Zahawi's recruitment?

There is already a split forming with ex Reform Habib setting up the Advance party, it is uncanny howthe more extreme people are to either the left or right of the political specturm, the less able they seem to be able to act cohesively. I guess thats inevitable the narrower ones views are.

I've seen it with many on the left who believe either Cobyn's shower or The Greens are the answer to Labour's shift rightwards, they don't seem to be able to comprehend that the majority of voters in the UK aren't going to be attracted by a hard left party, even if some policies are to their advantage and that splitting the left vote is just going to make it more likely that a far right party or more likely a coalition of far right parties is likely to gain power as a result.
