Seen Ramsay's first interview on WBA TV seems very comfortable & assured when speaking, seems to know what he wants ? I for one was quite impressed, obviously he needs time let?s all get behind him & support him , COYB

Totally agree Johnny. I think everyone will and fingers crossed he gets off to a good start against Boro as then the whole ground will be behind him. It?s not just the win but every player giving 110% people want to see and on the front foot.

    I just watched the interview.
Intelligent assured guy who I'm sure knows what he's doing.
Wouln't be drawn into saying we would make the playoffs, only that he wants to make us better.
I think it will take time to make the players dance to his tune but before the end of the season he will and we'll see the one's who possibly don't want to.

Obviously, very intelligent and interviews well. However, the proof of the pudding will be in the eating, as the saying goes. It will take time for him to instil his ideas and methods so we must not expect instant success. However, it would be nice to start with a victory on Friday.

My thoughts too Leics! I do think that Ramsay offers the advantage of having had more actual management experience over Ryan Mason and can't disagree with anything he said really -although at this very early stage he was understandably quite guarded.

You are quite right both in that fans should manage their expectations and that the proof will be in the pudding but I'm "quietly confident" as they say that he might be capable of unlocking the potential of this group of players and bringing some consistency to that.

If Ramsay can get us to now finish in the top 10 I wouldn't be too unhappy and with more money available in the summer, we can move on from there. As he says though, you can have your plans and aims for the season but you can only get there by taking each day/ game in front of you and making sure you are best set up to win them. Let's just hope that Friday is the first indication of his success of that!

Time for another reset me thinks. Avoid a relegation scrap.Start playing committed football. Get the youngsters involved early on and don't be afraid to tell Nestor to fcuk off if he is getting to close. Although I hope that has been observed by now as a fundamental flaw in the club's set up. Get the fans interested again in watching football and not been bored to death with dull stale football. Use the potential cup run as an experimentation process for finding what works with the small group that you have to work with.
But mostly learn from any mistakes quickly and adapt to each game.
All the very best Mr Ramsay..

Nice post. Like Omeg my expectation is top 10 but mainly a bit of excitement along the way and seeing the youngsters given a chance.

Intelligent, fresh faced and enthusiastic about the job at hand. Clearly can't wait to get going and doesn't seem to think he's doing as a favour by being here either. Refreshing. We'll soon knock that out of him. He'll be a gibbering bug eyed wreck like the rest of us before he knows it. Good luck Eric Ramsay and welcome to the revolving door, meat grinder and destroyer of souls otherwise known as West Bromwich Albion. Boing boing 😎 .
