    Don?t panic Mr Mainwaring

    Copied from another site

After 27 games, this is how this season compares to the fateful 90/91.

    After 27 games this season:
    Pts 31
    Pos 19th
    Top scorer (league): Heggebo (8)

    After 27 games 1990/91:
    Pts 30
    Pos 18th
Top Scorer (league): West and Bannister (both 8)

We've just sacked a manager. In 90/91 we sacked a manager in January as well.

At home to Norwich is very big indeed, have we got the bottle to compete

Norwich will be a hard game Bomber and they will have confidence from their win at Wrexham. But FFS if we can not win a home game against them - do we deserve to stay up!

Norwich appear to be an improving side so we will have our work cut out.
Hopefully some injured players may be back in contention.

It's all about building momentum and sadly West Brom don't have any. Opening three games was probably the best run we have managed or it feel like it anyway.

Yes surprised where you are, with that in mind I was surprised you let Caleb Tayjor go as he is now a regular in the 1st team with Millwall and has come up with a couple of goals as well.

We don't have the inclination to play youth in the starting eleven.

Our former owners shafted us with a PSR issue that the new owners copped for. All pure profit players were put up for sale and sold below value.

As unfortunate as it is, the Taylor sale probably allowed us to buy 3-4 players. We then proceeded to buy players that havent worked for us, or they have been implemented incorrectly: probably a bit of both.

Any chance of having Taylor back and willing to drive our Jed back to you. Let?s call it a straight swap and my petrol will be a gesture of goodwill!

Selling Taylor was another example of very bad business; Nestor again, I presume. No point in sacking managers, sorry, Head Coaches, when he still calls the tune, and the tune in in the wrong key!

The irony is, a points deduction probably relegates us. If Nestor didnt make the sales we did, we would be more nailed on for relegation than we are now.

Personally, I think we all underestimated the scale of the task Nestor and Patel took on.
