I suspect that all of the countries that Xi will talk to as well as the WHO have asked him to allow an investigation. We see how effective that has been.

A simple one that every country could do is to ban all Chinese students from admission in any university and expel,/ deport them until an investigation is conducted. Many are CCP plants anyway.

I understand your loathing for the US and its actions but the reality is we are not taking people from their homeland forcibly, packing them in box cars and ?re-educating them? making them work in horrid sweat shops. We aren?t blocking off access to the US waterways, we aren?t stealing trade secrets, patents or intelectual property or confiscating companies. Most important to me and many people in the world we aren?t banning them from practicing their faith.

No reasonable American thinks we are perfect or even good in a lot of cases but it?s becoming very obvious that the choice is going to be between China or the US. If you decide not to stand your ground the Chinese will make that choice for you just like they are doing in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and soon Taiwan. For a simple mind like mine I can?t help but notice that no one is illegaly entering China and wanting to stay there

For the umpteenth F00KING TIME, I DO NOT "LOATHE THE USA!" I have lived and worked amongst Americans from just about all places and all backgrounds and I have the utmost respect for their hard work and open-heartedness.

What I find both frustrating and annoying about your inability or unwillingness to answer what are relatively simple questions is that by obfuscating and avoiding you illustrate the emptiness of what you wish for and the means to achieve it.

Just EXACTLY what does "stand your ground" mean in the context of this dialogue?

If you can't (or won't), answer just shut the f00k up because all you're doing is emitting hot air.

Reading this thread tonight & latching onto health care around the globe comments.

Anxiety is one of the most prevalent mental illnesses of which I can certainly vouch for after sharing psychiatric wards in my past.
Anxiety in the U.S is now affecting 40 million adults in the country, so reading Spaldys sound-bites over the the years I can certainly see his point of view across his 'health care' spectrums he often comments on.

As for 'my take' on global health care then the biggest problem with global healthcare today is profound inequity in access to quality care & essential services, driven by a combination of underfunding, workforce shortages & the increasing burden of chronic diseases.

A decade of underfunding has left many systems with weak infrastructure lacking capacity, which was certainly severely exposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, imo.

I am now busy working part-time at Saint Nazaire Psychological centre providing psychological assessments for their collaborative process to evaluate personalised needs of 'young persons' mental health - so using my degree positively.

My biggest gripe of mental health care was/is the taking of more than 5 medications, aka polypharmacy.
The risk of harmful effects, drug interactions & hospitalisations increase when you take more medications - such risks that I was asked to put pen to paper over my experience of being a patient.

The gist of my personal 'report' I issued was Psychiatrists these days do almost exclusively medication management. They do have some training in providing psychotherapy but no insurance company will pay them the equivalent of 4x15 minute med checks to do an hour of therapy.
Of course my meds back then where creating me more problems alongside the pharmacists wheeling 'em out for me take like clock work.
Main problem in health facillities was & still is of experienced staff shortages of course.
But no matter what there are always plenty of pharmacists 'tho on duty & at hand 24/7 dishing out the tabs.
Says alot about the alleged support of a caring society today, imo, as in just take the meds, shut up, get discharged & keep taking the meds - until such decisions are challenged as in my past case.

The 'pandemic' demonstrated that no one is safe until everyone is safe, allegedly.
Reinforcing the urgent need for a shift toward sustainable & equitable health systems. 👍

We can only dream of such a day but in my case it was duty nurses who took the time to listen who got better results with patients day in & certainly not the vast array of medication forced upon one, for sure, imo.
We all know too who will be producing the medications of the future as well as China is really upping its production for global consumption.

    Just saying

You had better insert a comma there, after totty, or you're in real trouble.

Anxiety!! When the lying corrupt media are forever telling us that covid will kill us, the world will burn up under climate change (another scam). Oceans will rise up and we'll drown. Measles, Ebola, Monkey Pox, Bird Flu, plastics, oil and gas, dairy products, red meat, too much coffee, AIDS, not enough cardio, sugar, etc etc will kill us. We must look like a model or else we're hideous freaks. We must have a good job and have a nice electric car (another scam) etc people may get anxious! Or we could just ignore the proven liars from the ABC, BBC, CNN, MSNBC, TVNZ and those other garbage networks and live a life relatively free from anxiety. Ignore Instagram. Ignore social media too.

Well well well, a degree of agreement....not on climate change I'm afraid, too much evidence of my own eyes to consider it a scam, but ignoring (or at least taking with large doses of salt), the stuff that ALL media, particularly the social media platforms, churns out I wholeheartedly agree with.

Nothing like that will happen as humans adapt to the rich ones anyway. The one thing that may kill us off is the LGBTQ society, as sickos are everywhere. And as Billy knows the Muslims.

Back to the original subject if the thread, good (very) old Ronald MacDonald....

His grasp of very recent history makes it possible for him to offend just about everyone, including the families, friends and loved ones of NATO troops who served alongside US forces in Afghanistan. Only when his insulting, obnoxious and wholly inaccurate us made clear to him does he post on his "Truth" platform with no apology but instead praise for the troops he insulted less than 24 hours previously. Why the post? Because even this disgrace of a President recognised just how badly he had misjudged his own statements.

And.then there is ICE, and Minnesota. A major US city where it's citizens no longer feel safe to appear in public, lest they be taken without due process or even worse, killed by the forces of supposed federal law enforcement. These things are from Iran, North Korea, Russia, Ethiopia, Sudan, surely not the USA?

I was accused in a recent of hating the USA. As I made clear, I love America, I loved working and living there and I love the American the vast majority of the American people. It burns to the core of me to witness what this administration is doing to that bastion of liberty, democracy and welcome.
