Ollie Rathbone how we miss him

Saw him score on Monday night on his comeback game having been out injured for 9 months.

Now he's just scored a beautiful volley against Blackburn. Looks and playing really confident.......oh to have him back at this current time.

What other players would you take back we offloaded or let walk on a free?

Another for me would be Viktor.

Great to see him back playing and scoring for Wrexham again Brin. Yep he?d certainly help us at the minute - but think at his best it?s right he?s in the championship.

Been out 9 months (poor training ground at round wood to blame). He would fit in perfectly here.

Simply take us back to the summer weeks before warne left, have a chairman invest a bit of money to add to the players like ollie at that time.
It was wishful thinking, because the reverse happened, but the nucleus of that squad should have been kept together. I do not need to name the best players, they were self evident.

Some are now at career end, many had to work too hard. We had the best 3 midfield in the league. Ollie, ben, dan. Best keeper.

Our club fault is that we do not cultivate a longer term team longer than a season or two. So we have moments too often like this, wanting players back.
Most players under the warne days would sail back in this team and run rings around it. They did not have issue with the training ground.

We have always had a mix, it will always be the same. And not many left and put hundreds of pounds behind a pub bar to say thanks.

An all star 11. Frecks for one. Just imagine.

Take a look at his latest thunderbolt strike, an absolute screamer brilliant goal.

It's 9 minutes 10 seconds in. Wrexham now in the play off group.

Ollie,a player who had a proper engine in him and very skillful but yet another who was grossly undersold by our clueless club leaders.

Bill, Yes his position in staying with us was very badly managed with those at the top saying we had to wait to see where we were after the New Year before committing anything with him. It was well before November time that Ollie openly said he was looking to having his contract discussed and was looking to sign a new one. I wonder who was totally responsible for that failing so badly?

Having said that, at least they got 'some' money for him unlike all the other players we openly allowed to run their contracts down and leave on a free. Always piss poor in this department and always will be while we have a board like we do.

    Just think Brin

If we had someone on the board like Barry Fry, his valuations on players getting sold
& being brought in, would have been a asset to the coffers at NYS.

ELK, I've said that on many a post, I even once said get him approached to come on our board and take over our transfer/retention dealings. You're bang on with your assesment.
