The prime minister voted personally to stop his potential rival's bid to return to Westminster. Andy Burnham will remain as Manchester mayor.

Yeah I bet he did! Running very scared too! Does not want a leadership challenge - could not give a f uck what the public think and delaying strategically all the council elections because he knows Reform will embarrass Labour!

It would be good if the King went to Parliament, dissolved it and appointed someone competent to put together a government of national unity and get the country back on its feet again.

It’s a shame as I have always found Burnham to be a good, authentic leader and someone to get behind. That said, the last thing Starmer needed was more division, in a party already divided.

We need more good left leaning leaders like Burnham to bring a bit of balance. The current left sided crop range from underwhelming to a total disaster.

The question is what do most of the public want after seeing this Labour Government in power?

We all know the answer to that which is the clue why many local elections are being hugely delayed!!

I actually went to Manchester a few weeks ago and was shocked at the s hit hole it?s become and that was day time.

To be honest, Starmer can't win with you either way Al.

    Trump criticises our military....
    You....."Starmer is weak"

I'm not saying Labour do everything right, they don't. They have a lot of flaws and fair criticism against that is understandable.

I can't speak for what most people want, but I can speak for me. The Conservatives were in power for 15 years and they were pretty awful. Reform will be a car crash if they get in. The Greens scare the life out of me. So what is the alternative?

Starmer is at least a decent man, who speaks with intelligence and thought. That is far better than what they have in the US, and its far better than the alternative party leaders in this country.

I had you down as a Green 123, i’m intrigued to know what scares you off them? I may have the same concerns.

As for Starmer, he’s a bought politician like all of them. Farage is bought by the russians. Do we really want foreign interference? Asking you here Al.

As said before, I don’t think they’ll ever give the people/us what we want.

Starmer is the most weak and gutless PM ever seen. His popularity here is half that of Trump so what does that tell you. Ask business leaders what they think of Starmer and Reeves and know what they will say. Ask the lovely place Crowborough what they think of Starmer now that their daughters are being locked up and school routes are being diverted? Illegals should be put in processing camps well away from the general public who should be protected.

Speaking for you or myself is irrelevant as the majority will decide and the way the country is going I would wager a big bet that Reform will be the next Government.

I don't like their position on nuclear disarmament, or military defence generally.

I don't like their position on tax, I don't think a wealth tax works nor do I understand how it is enforced.

I don't like their position on business growth or the economy. I don't think the people at the top of that party understand business.
