Best not mention the cricket then!

Rugby wasn’t fair. The Scots had backs who could pass, catch, tackle and move very quickly.

Not sure how many would?ve predicted that back in August.

Please don?t mention Scottie?watching the rugby!
Genuinely surprised to have got a predicton right! It is rather strange at the moment, we play bang average at times, but we are top 6 for now. Feels a bit like 2007, when we somehow got into the play off final and won despite being the poorer team.

Both managers called it a set piece game which with Pat we are always dangerous. Bully in the box, great ball from Eder and he heads in another. We score for the 22nd consecutive time and win a home game at last. 3 PTS but I'm confused🤔

Do you not have a feeling with the current team that something is waiting to click? That season under Billy we weren't great most of the time but we're stubborn but I never felt something was developing, we were what we were.

We are missing the spine of the team still as they said on RD. Zetterstrom, Langas, Travis, Morris back and I think we will get better.

I feel excited more than anytime than since the 1st McLaren stint.

I think we ‘clicked’ at Bristol and your point about missing the ‘spine of the team’ is a good one which also shows how wise Eustace’s strengthening has been, but what do you want from this season?

Do you want to go up, or do you recognise that we were seriously second best to Ipswich last week and managed less than 28% possession against a very average Championship side yesterday? I’m not sure btw.

That Billy D side was a point clear with a game in hand at this poiny in the season. From here on in things dropped off and we missed out on the autos. Good day out at Wembley and things dropped off even further after that.

I don't subscribe to the idea we aren't ready to go up, very few teams are. When you get up its how you strengthen thats key.

Its hard to say what I want. At the start I wanted to stay up without the threat of relegation. Tick.

Hitting the top 6 absolutely id love to stay there and go up, realistically id be disappointed if we don't finish top 10.

I appreciate a lot of rams feel scarred by last time , we were second best in both the semi final and final but still won, it didn't turn out well and to be honest if we go up well likely come down but whenever we go up thats the likely outcome.

We were 2nd best but weren't thrashed. Burnley "walked" the championship last season, now struggling after strengthening, Sunderand on the other hand spentheavily but invested well it seems.

Me, I'd take promotion, it would if handled sensibly enhance the income, maybe even attract some welcome investment which we are going to need to take the next step. But if we don't go up I won't be disappointed.

True and balanced. It’s head and heart I suppose. My head says it’s too early. My heart will obviously hope, especially if we remain in contention.
I’d much prefer a Coventry/Boro season next year, which I think we’ll be capable of, to being the Premiership’s week in week out whipping boys, but as you say, look at Sunderland and if the extra income is ‘handled sensibly’ - which I think it will be - who knows?
Que sera and enjoying the lack of pressure.
