Can anybody explain why VAR takes 5 minutes and the ref then plays 30 seconds after it? Does time wasted on VAR not count?

I thought that we were a different team in the second half. Chris Iwelumo suggested that Lewis meant that Hannibal was freed up to influence the game, which he did.

As regards SP, Flemming was struggling in the 79th minute. SP reacts in the 90th minute. WTF.
I think we can clearly see Swiss that this relegation is down to SP.Playing not to lose instead of playing to win will never keep you in the PL.We have only started playing half decent when we go behind or when we need wins and draws are not enough. The players were good enough to play better than they have done under Parker.

Today's defeat was soly on Parker setting up with a flat back 5, the most negative formation in football.

American owners haven't got a scoobydo. Yanks no phuck all about football

I agree CiB. Again Iwelumo said that he ? loves ? SP but he is too defensive minded. I don’t think that many would disagree with that.

For Brentford’s first goal we left 5 Brentford players unmarked, defending on a zonal basis. For their fourth goal we awarded them the freedom of the Turf. Part of the problem is inconsistent performances. SP needs to get on the backs of some of the players. They can’t have a good week and then next week they look like League 1 players.

I?m just back and I?m not quite sure what I witnessed really - we look amateur at best like they haven?t played together before and then we look like a team together who in the end were robbed ( that is the truth ).

First things first we set up shockingly again ( I?m assuming Edwards is poorly or injured ).

How many times does he need to see a 5 at the back ( overlapping wing backs ) who have no pace and can?t get up and down DOESNT WORK for us we don?t have the players to action it.

We will not win games giving teams 2-3 start every week.

Second half Hannibal ran and controlled the midfield ( he is as I always said our best forward thinking player )

Substitutions - not Parker?s strong point either - remove Hannibal who?s bossing midfield shut up shop and accept a draw - invite them onto us and lose the game - his decision making is appalling.

Other than that we were robbed again VAR biggest con ever.

What was the atmosphere like, army? Were people calling for his head?

A double second-half VAR intervention denied the Clarets a share of the spoils in an epic encounter at Turf Moor.
The VAR crew robbed battling Burnley whilst unashamedly staring them in the face, resulting in a most undeserved 4-3 home defeat. From 3-0 down the Clarets went 4-3 up only for VAR to cancel Flemming's goal out for a mystifying toenail offside decision in the build-up.
I try not to write in hyperbolic text but this defeat was not justice for the Clarets and Hannibal Mejbri most certainly did not deserve to be on the losing side. His performance today was bordering on the super human, his energy, skill and commitment was really quite incredible.
Even after Brentford added an injury time fourth goal that would have killed most teams off, up popped Ashley Barnes with a last minute strike to equalise and put the home crowd into ecstatic eruptions. Sadly, VAR had other ideas to ruin the comeback of all comebacks and ruled "an accidental handball" spoiled the Clarets celebrations.
    VAR needs to go.

Being totally honest S_c me and my gang were going to join the exodus at half time but we stuck it out. Glad we did!

I'm totally gobsmacked at the two VAR calls, both IMHO were horribly incorrect.

The first VAR call was offside on Anthony? he leaned in and his shoulder was offside? VAR is ruining the game!!!

Cannot fault this team for effort but we give away goals amateurs wouldn't. Their first goal was ridiculous. Either no instructions were given or they were not clear. Got to blame the coaching staff for that one. Yes, VAR is a pain but Anthony could see the line, why push it.
If Hannibal does not request it why the hell is he subbed. Foster did well and Barnes should have been on earlier imo.
