Interesting Reform want to ban postal voting. Yet he voted by post in last year's general election
I think they are spot-on
Its just too great an opportunity to pass on for those desperate enough
Id never do it at an election but I had four family members on duty to help me to common goal last week, specifically to get Rush tickets and Im sure the touts ran a more sophisticated operation. You may have done similar to get Derby play-off tickets or know someone who did, its all the same, a form of cheating to achieve an objective
And, much as I wish it wasnt, politics is more important to many than music
Utterly ridiculous to want to ban postal voting. We’ve voted by post in every election for the last decade, the reason being that we’re usually out of the country for about eight weeks of the year and have no wish to sacrifice our right to vote. Couple that with the fact that many elderly or disabled people just wouldn't make it to the ballot box - especially in poor/winter weather - and there are two damned good reasons for retaining postal votes. Farage really is behaving like a cry baby.
I have before when I was going to be away. No idea who my wife voted for, didn't ask im sure the vast majority of people who vote by post are legitimate, its only become an issue because Reform feel they have been robbed by 'bloody foreigners' of their rightful win. They aren't even hiding their racism in their response to the loss on Thursday.
Can be tricky though Sith. Either last month or late January we both got notification that our postal vote entitlement had expired and asked if we wished to renew, which we’ve done.
Around ten years ago there seemed to be a vote of some description every few months so we got into the habit then. I’m not organised enough to sort it for each time we go away and I’m certainly not sufficiently organised to avoid our holidays coinciding with any elections so I prefer just to set it up for whatever the period of time is, either 2 or 3 years…can’t remember.
I’m sure you’re right, those who genuinely benefit will vastly outnumber those who wish to use the system fraudulently, so why change something that seems, in my experience at least, to work well.
Reform UK and Labour were both well beaten. Starmer registered his disappointment, as he should have. In comparison Farage hasn’t stopped whining.

Badenoch also weighing in on the family voting but that's a bit like AFC Kilburn moaning Man City haven't had their charges revealed yet
Also don't recall Farage complaining about postal votes in the eu referendum
All a bit like Forest players laughing about how much they love VAR after they got two very dubious decisions in their favour on the play off final but haven't stopped whining since

Also i think the fact Reform won Runcorn and Helsby by 0.02% with the amount of family voting and postal votes then its likely to have had more of an impact so maybe we should call for a rerun?
Interesting too he thinks postal votes should still be allowed for the elderly, his key demographic.
