    Anyone looking forward to Tranmere?

Well, are you? They got beaten 5-0 at the weekend and are still bumping along at the bottom of the middle of the league. Time for Dr Crewe!

I am, with some trepidation. It will be typical of us to underperform against them. It would be nice to have a few more players to select!

It would be a typical game for us to mess up, but with it being Tranmere anda Cheshire derby form goes out of the window anyway, so who knows. It would also be typical for CT suddenly to return to the starting lineup without warning - who was it from the black hole we were told might be back this weekend? Probably means they won't, and LB seems to be saying next week not this as well. He also said he'd said this week too often and been proved wrong so who knows ...

With all of the injuries this fixture is a lot more challenging than it should be. However, we have produced some decent results lately with limited resources. I am torn. My head says that our recent over performance and their quite lengthy underperformance has to come to an end at some point. I think that might be today. So I will be right behind the team but I think we may run out 2-1 losers. But I hope not.

I'm going, once again for 1-1 draw. I did consider an Alex 1-0 win but then I can't imagine a clean sheet.

That was a prime example of what I?m talking about at times - I was thoroughly entertained. Forget the good, the bad, the injuries, the referee or any other factor. At the end of 90 mins I felt completely entertained and really enjoyed it. Always felt we would win but we kept it late. Shame Lankester panicked and shot too soon but there?s a lot of rust there, would have been good for him to get the winner after all that time out but really pleased for March and all of the players. With who we have coming back now, I think with a fair wind we might just do this and get the last spot in the play offs. I?m just pleased the season hasn?t petered out and we?re still in the hunt.

If I was coaching these players, I would advise them taking on the GK by swerving past him and then hitting the empty net. Players do shoot like he did and the GK saves the shot. I know it happened to me a few times and shows that some coaching can pay dividends. It was a great chance missed though and good play to get him in that situation.

It was a lack of football that was the cause of cocking up the chance with the one on one. If he has no reaction after Saturday then his minutes should increase over the next month. Sanders due back soon too.
