O/T NHS Blood Donor - Need More Donors

NHS Blood Donor

The NHS is short of Blood Donors & need more people to give blood, after a downfall of donors giving blood.
Some donors have had to cease giving blood through their health, & some donors have just decided to cease giving blood.
I attended the blood donor session yesterday Monday at Montgomery Hall, Wath-on-Dearne.
Yesterday's donation was my 80th donation.
I would have done more, but with operations, health etc, it cut down my donor sessions.

If you can give blood, I urge you to donate, think about maybe you or a family member might need a blood transfusion at sometime in life.

ELK, this keeps getting mentioned on here and why not.

My last donation has taken me to 56 now. Likewise, restructuring of work, lifestyle etc stopped me from donating more but, strongly wished I had done. When they stopped the blood bus from visiting my last workplace, I always found it hard to park in Sheffield City centre behind the Cathedral. That sort of put me off for a long time.

Many years later, I caught an appeal on TV asking for more donations as they were urgently needed and that's what kick started it all over again for me. It's interesting to see where they send your blood via the map they send you, my last lot ended up in Blackpool.

Keep donating pal, apparently yours give people that extra easy feeling......must be all the ale in it

Shark, that's correct. I think the decision to change it to four, was due to so limited supplies being available at the time.
