I thought Starmer handled PMQs well. Badenoch complained about him being scripted but she was as didn't seem to know how to respond to him. I thought he answered her questions, she just didn't seem capable of understanding that and her factually incorrectly claims about the ability of certain military equipment.

Ed Davey showed again he would be a far more capable opposition leader.

The US claimed yesterday Spain have backed down and will now support the war. Spains response was erm no our position hasn't changed.

One would think that the myth of being able to win a war, primarily through bombing, would have been busted by history, but then I guess the US doesn't recognise any history where its been a failure! Rather like Trump and his business "acumen"!
First torpedo sinking of a ship since WW2 according to Hegseth. Does the Belgrano sinking not count?

Trump said yesterday that it would be a huge mistake to have a crazy person in charge of Nuclear weapons. Are there no mirrors in the White House?

As I wrote earlier, there is NO clear purpose or exit strategy. IMO, give it a few weeks and they'll stop and make some fatuous claim of it all having been a success.

Cyprus representative in London saying they're unhappywith the UK. FFS we have TWO bases there. It was one of those bases that was hit. We have defences that seem not to have worked on that occasion. We're sending a ship in a couple of days once it's 100% stacked and ready. Allies like the French have boats there, France has a carrier on the way accompanied by a Dutch destroyer. We can't teleport ships there.

I think they said ‘first torpedo sinking by the US since WW2’, so…no.

My exact thought when I heard Trump’s utterance about ‘crazy people in charge’.

Hopefully this will, 1) Piss off the MAGA's who don't believe in the US getting involved in foreign wars 2) Bugger the US economy as well as elsewhere, further upsetting the dumbass people who voted for this idiot.

    Result in Trump being removed.

Reports the ship was unarmed are returning from a training exercise.

Yet still Reform, Conservatives and most of the media want us involved and are Slating Starmer.

Starmer is more like Churchill than Trump thinks, standing up to a facist evil dictator.

Indeed, but then if the other side had nuclear weapons, the US wouldn't be doing this!

She?s following in the great tradition of female Tory leaders, Swale. Thatcher, who at least had some degree of political competence but was ultimately cruel and compassion less. Truss, the definition of delusional incompetence and now Badenoch, who I have yet to be convinced is not some sort of badly wired AI bot.

All three terrible exemplars for female leadership, which is a great pity given what a mess the male equivalents are making of the Middle East and elsewhere at present.

It does however, show Starmer to be a model leader, when compared to the likes of Trump, Netenyahu!

Indeed and God only knows where we’d be with Johnson or Truss in charge. I’ll discount Badenoch as I can’t ever see her getting close to being PM and doubt she’ll even be party leader at the next election.
